I just finished a nice long jam with a buddy, and I set the FZ-2 as per your instructions, then slammed it into the the OD-3.

All I can say is: you have shown me the error of my ways...

ILF has convinced me that 99% of all future FZ-2 purchases are people pursuing Dopethrone tones. Don't go changing, ILF.

Honestly, I use it that way for epic gaze toanz. But, yes, also Dopethrone. You can't go wrong, really.

Been wanting to put this together for a while, and the result plays and sounds even better than I had hoped!

I run very similar settings (I imagine, not having an hm-2 to compare) on my AriOn metal master most of the time: boost volume, boost highs and lows, gain set to 9 o'clock.

pretty happy with the tones

sent some stuff to the big board and some to BST

powered by PowerAll 9v and Dunlop 18v adapters, pedal board is homemade.

Bassboard
This suits my need for making weird heavy spacey shit. :!!!:

ch.2 > Unpleasant Surprise > Bottom Feeder > Compact Faye Sing

Dual Expression Pedal controls Faye Sing's Rate knob in Manual mode
VP-Jr is either after or before the board, depending.

powered by a Cioks DC10 under a Pedaltrain PT-1

so much flipping heavy on these boards, can you move the monarch back in the chain and push it with the Megalith??? I just have to know how that sounds

Sure thing!

Right now, the Monarch into the Megalith isn't too good... too much breakup, like the circuit is getting overworked or something... I dropped the input volume but that didn't change things much.

Monarch > Fullbore Metal = sick industrial metal like harmonics
Monarch > Megalith = busted Megalith

I have to finish a school paper... then I'll record some stuuuuffffsss...

fever606 wrote:talk to me about that "filter & fixed wah" pedal... :snax:

Got it for bass, was too subtle, modded it, didn't help, put it on the guitar board, was ok, modded it back to stock, was better...
It's a decent filter, with useable control features. It works well before the weird noise makers like the Ringworm and LSD, just ok with the dirt pedals.

The lady likes it, so it remains.

Got a cloud account, but have to finish schoolwork first...

Seriously, what effects where you running when you recorded Om-vora? Is that a piano synthesizer or something? Or bass through effects?

I always find it funny when I see a really neat pedalboard. It's like "Man, those guys must not switch around their shit very often."

I move stuff around, but I get OCD fits where I spend a couple hours to rearrange it all and straighten out pedals, hide cables, etc

Also I find in the last month or so that I've already got so many sounds available that I haven't been moving stuff around. And I don't have enough modulation and reverb yet! :idk:
