Soy ice cream comes in flavors, not good ones, but they are there just above the taste of frozen tofu [and yes, but I never bothered with that thread, it seemed silly and lacked moral fiber ]

Sadly, Im in serious doubt as to whether or not we can stay immune to it. Its just the world now.
The forum is growing and this is just part of that. The more members, the more of a shift in demographic there will be as the likelihood of encountering more diverse opinions/backgrounds/subgroups increases. It would be statistically anomalous if it didnt happen and I'm fairly surprised it hasnt happened sooner and in greater quantities.
Plus, the more we react to questionable trolling and posting, the more likely we'll become a spectacle for others of a like mind to come and hone their trolling/antagonising on.
So, strap yourselves in, as my prediction is that this will only get worse.
Its time to switch from soy to dairy.
