Dave is a retard. Pass.
Pretty much what I told them in my email.
And pretty much true. I do enjoy a good spectacle every now and again though.

Any of you guys try the Zvex Fat Fuzz Factory or the Fuzz Probe? I saw a video of a rare Fat Fuzz Probe on YouTube and it's a special run pedal only and I'm curious if it's going to be doom/ambient/drone appropriate especially since they only have customs available and it'll cost $400. I never much cared for the regular Fuzz Factory because they're so glitchy but I've head the probe models are more stable and controllable. The added depth of the "fat" model obviously seems appropriate for the heavy shit but still capable of some cool noises with the theremin aspect.

Hold on to it until practice, I might buy that off you.
That sucks about the album Christian. It's a really fuckin good album too, so it sucks that something I'm sure you were waiting on with a lot of hope and anticipation brought disappointment. I'm tempted to say that's why I stay away from record labels, because every time outsiders get involved in a musical project for me it brings a lot of frustration and derailments. That's bullshit though, it's easy for me to be high and mighty about feeling resistant to collaborate with labels on anything when no one with big distro is asking. I'm not even worried about getting a new vinyl copy, because I just wanted to support you guys for making good music and that's done. Can always listen to the digital version, which I would probably do more often anyway. I did email the label like you've mentioned to everyone else, hopefully it motivates them to do right by you guys.
Working on writing another song tonight, trying to get on a roll of working on new material while I'm off work a while.

I know nothing about the Probe version, but I do know that the Fat Fuzz version is essentially a regular Fuzz Factory with a few swapped parts. If I had to have one, I'd buy a secondhand Vexter and mess some stuff up. Someone has to have compared the circuits by now....
PS - I've heard LOTS of good demos of the FFF on youtube.

Like this one. WELL, all of Kayzer's stuff is pretty good.

Fucking Kayzer has cost me a fortune. He's got a pair of nice demos of the Fuzz Probe from a few months back. I think running it through my pedalboard really has a lot of options to make some cool, unique sounds.

I've been gassing hard for that FFF since it came out. I LOVE my regular FF.

Pink Sparkle is fucking metal.
And belated thanks to corey for the nice words about our stuff. I hope you guys will give some honest feedback when we finish the new stuff. I trust the people here to know what the fuck they are talking about. We've gotten a TON of positive feedback but I always have that thought in the back of my mind "what if they're just being nice" Playing live I can tell people dig it cause they tend to vote with their feet, know what I mean? I've got high hopes for these songs, recorded in the spare bedroom or not.

I wrote another new song tonight. I had a couple free hours after getting home from a family party, trying to keep the momentum up on writing new material. Same gear setup as the one I posted yesterday, Carvin guitar and head, Dunwich Fuzzes, Fender Precision bass, Joyo Ultimate Drive and GK head. I was really happy with the overall tone and feel on this one. I need to go back and refine the drums a bit, but I'm just banging these out and recording while I'm writing right now. Still gotta go back and work on them later, write lyrics and try to do some vocals.

I've got a custom Fat Fuzz Factory clone coming in soon. GAS overtook me and I had to have one.

Holy shit I missed a lot of stuff.
Got a heap of work done on the Sovtek today, gonna update the Russian Death Box thread throughout the week as I finish it up. Gonna need a little help.
But, it is going to be so awesome to play again.
Trading deathmonkey for his Revelation.
BAT are definitely gonna have to start paying me soon...

Well, it is your music. It doesn't matter what other people think as long as you like it. Obviously the opinions of others impacts who we are as people, but if you're happy then that's what's crucial. It's always nice to hear the thoughts of your respected peers, but they will never quell your own.
I can't remember who it was for but I'm still working on demos for my new compressor and Pharaoh. I've just been busy.

If my V4 ever gives up the ghost, and I can't buy a Bassman 135 for cheap, I'll go with an X100B in a heartbeat and not think twice about it. Phil runs a Sonic Titan and/or a Ritual (depending on his mood) into it, and it always sounds so good. I think he paid 375ish for his, and it was recently retubed.

I've been tossing around some bandnames for a new project and I've narrowed it down to one. What do you guys think of Petrichor? Apparently its Greek for the smell of rain on dry earth.
