Excellent first post. :)*

Thanks Chankgeez. I can't tell if that's sarcasm or genuinely sincere. Either way is fine by me. I've loved this forum(and Muffwiggler) for years, but never ever ever post, only troll...i mean READ. Anyway, if someone's interested in this Memory Loss, I'd rather trade than take money, unless you're throwing a buncha bills at me. like, a buncha bills. Free 3rd Bass shirt with Memory Loss. I'm interested in eurocrack modules, shitty polyphonics, PLL type pedals, really ripping fuzzes. Get at me on here or via Reverb, i don't care.

You could have traded here[I guess you've already mentioned that...but if you have read here than you already know about the bst]? Or avoided Reverb? Or offer something back in the auto decline? I mean, I don't have a problem with salesmanship, just gotta know the market and how it reacts and works if you want to work it a certain way. That's all.

Anyway, if you really wanted to trade for what you want of equal value wouldn't listing it at 347+7%[fees] get you the same thing without loosing a dime?

I didn't find anything you said offensive, just the market isn't ripe for that price. But whatever, don't even know who you are referring too.

yes, i realize i could've traded here, but i never have before. i actually like Reverb and dealing/trading locally on Craigslist. i've managed to make really good deals, whether buying/selling/trading, getting partial cash/trade etc. also, there was no "auto decline", that would be totally rude. i declined who i found out to be uglycasanova, but included a message asking if he'd want to trade. that's actually pretty decent of me to not flat out decline and initiate some kinda trade. i have a so-so job and if i just wanted cash for shit, i can earn it, not gouge fellow musicians. but honestly, hypothetically asking $50, 100 or $150 extra for a $350 pedal that'll take 3 months to get to you from halfway around the world isn't too crazy of a markup.

wait i'm confused...you WOULD NOT take 500$ for it but you would only take a buncha bills, like, a buncha bills...so how much cash are you willing to take cause i'm kinda interested tbh

Uncle Grandfather, if you want to give me $500, i will absolutely take it off your hands. But, honestly what does it matter? Do you want this thing?

Which is what I said in a previous post...if people want to pay for convenience, fine...[referring to your comment on the wait]

But the market it so small that it looks weird seeing something at above market on a seller site...it just looks fiahy to people. If you would have posted a for trade on Craigslist it would have gotten here too...several members scour the Craigslist listings all over the country [except in LA,,it is a waste of time haha]...

But there are denotative and connotative meanings to everything and you have got to expect that when selling or putting information, ation in public...500 is just right in between 'guy trying for profit', 'guy wanting to deal but starts high for conversation' and 'wants to deal but doesn't know value'.

There was a guy on reverb selling a ripplet for 1k...which seems like he wanted to trade or get a good offer...would never reply or even consider an offer...and that is how it is most of the time...so people will;l usually take it the wrong way haha..

Good luck to you and I hope you deal to UC...he is an awesome dude and will love that pedal [take his cash and buy something cool or trade]

Stick around too, this place is alright and always a venue to trade

like i said, i feel what you're saying. i love sound, not money. i don't buy pedals to "collect" them, i buy shit that sounds cool. sometimes i get shit that sounds cool and that's collectable. I did not consider everyone's trolly delicate sensibilities. I gotta use some of these emoji now :)* ;) :!!!: :( :thumb:  :snax: :whateva: :hello: :poke: :idk: :animal: :hobbes: :trippy: :erm:

the memory loss is a fine pedal, but obviously niche market. i've checked demos for the past year on it, finally bit the bullet on it(sent my money, waited awhile) and just couldn't cop the sound i was hearing(or at least perceiving) in the demos. i thought the memory loss was going to be more of delay with bit/sample rate degrading(which it does, but not as well as i was hoping or expecting). nice, runaway/self-oscillation really quickly when the bottom knob was around noon. i've used several modified delays and have been running feedback loops for a better part of 20 years. basically, if i can cop a sound with equipment i already have, i don't need to keep niche/collector stuff. i feel like you could probably cop this sound with a delay and high pass filter or a bitcrusher in a feedback loop or parallel loop. i also use the kompakt kassette and absolutely love it. the dynamic triggering is what makes the KK so appealing to me. the KK has a sound/feel i would have a really difficult time emulating, which is why i'd never get rid of it. i think Seppuku has some awesome designs. i'm by no means knocking the memory loss's circuit. it is what it is. just not quite what i was looking for.
