Buchla usually runs at normal line level (even mentions that hot signals will distort.

I never really got that into the Ringworm, and sold it without ever missing it. I'd grade it behind the Moog, Fairfield, and the HAX2. Maybe it'd be more fun with vocals or drum machines. At $169, though, I'd try it again.

I watched a bass video for it and it definitely looked like it's up my alley - and that purple finish is way nicer than the previous.... copper?

Yeah, the purple definitely makes it more appealing. Worth a try for that alone.

Keep a close eye, don't know how many're in this limited edition. :idk:

Hirofumi from Lastgasp Art Laboratories has put links of my demo videos of the Sick Pitch King, Angelring and 86 Oscillo Fuzz on his facebook page. :joy:

This is what he told me in a recent e-mail:

"There was almost no ring modulator pedal back then. The original SPK was based on the circuits in 70’s and these were not in a compact pedal format so there were quite many features. The SPK tried to have the features in the enclosure as much as popsicle and the Carrier input was one of these. Then some ring modulators were released in the market in 2000’s and the SPK2 was designed to be more compact, simpler and a bit weirder. Now there is a plan of the next generation of SPK. ;-)"

Awesome, congrats, Pepe, your demo is great! :excellent:

The SPK is a great sounding ring mod. I've been having lots of fun with it. :D :!!!:

Is there any such thing as a pedal/device that would recognize the note you are playing and match the ring mod to that note to any degree you specify? Something like a "smart" ring mod?
