See, now you're making sense.
Mandatory abortions/birth only by license and government subsidized retirement at 65 but then euthanasia at 80. If we can make dogs illegal and require restaurants to serve their lunch/dinner menus in the morning, I'm in my own personal Utopia (oh and well funded public education and transit I s'pose too).

If the government does Mandatory abortions (like China did) they will overdo it and screw it up and we will have large odd age gaps and struggle to have an even population over generations (like china)
Can't believe I missed China shit.

Great article on the intentional and historical divides created between the poor, long read but worth it.
Or you can skim it, and then do a long post on here where you try to sound smart.

What if I read the whole thing and then pretend like I didn't to try and sound smart?

jwar wrote:Uhhh how about jerking off and not reproducing? Or if you don't want kids, just get snipped like I did. That way you don't have to worry about having to make a choice about having an abortion or adoption. Just a thought. I know it's expensive, but it's totally worth it. Now according the church I'm still a heathen for getting snipped but they don't have to raise the 5 fucking kids I would have ended up having! I already have 3 and love my girls to death! We were supposed to have 4 though..man I wish I wouldn't have thought of that.
its not so simple for areas where overpopulation is actually a problem (mostly not the western world we live in). people don't have access to "just get snipped" if it is expensive for you, imagine how it is in these areas that don't have the high quality of life we enjoy.

No, I get that. I totally do. But there's other ways of trying to prevent IE condoms and such. A lot of places hand out condoms for free, so in this country there really isn't any excuse to have unprotected sex unless you just don't care about the possible consequences.
That being said, it was expensive but it was only 1k total. I wish insurance companies would cover it. They ought to. Would solve a lot of problems.

I think what Jwar is saying is that people who have the privilege of making choices should make better choices.
In under developed parts of the world most people have no choice when it comes to any type of reproductive health.
I think if My insurance hadn't covered it my snip job was around 4k, now a baby costs an insurance company way more, but 4k is a large chunk of change. Especially if you are making less than 8k a year
and Jwar is right insurance companies not covering contraception is complete BS and bad for their bottom line as well.

oh okay I thought you were talking in a global context, not an american one.
thing is children these days are hitting puberty earlier than even, lots of young kids are having sex earlier than ever before. lots of kids don't receive education, and the ones who do usually get bad sex education like "hey don't have sex and there's no problems!" but of course that doesn't fucking work at all. I mean fuck even my friends have gotten pregnant on accident, even having sex education, condoms break, or people use them wrong. I think you're vastly underestimating how stupid most americans are on a whole

if this is the case does education help?
also: I hate to look at younger and younger ages for kids to have sex as some sort of inevitability, although it is the reality. Wish their was a way to reverse or even pause that trend.

Digging into this article but afaik I've never gotten anyone pregnant by not having sex with them.

yes it does, but American's education is lacking on the entire scale including sex education, which in my belief is a product of our government failing to invest in education + teachers aren't paid shit, I literally make more money delivering fucking pizza than a teacher does in my city.
I think there's some research on our media altering our brain chemistry at a younger age than in the past as a cause for this trend. I haven't read deeply into the topic, but its interesting for certain.

very, something I need to read up on, especially having pre-teens in the house.
