not really that different. up until the 14th fret, it took about 5 minutes to adjust to. nothing. i'm still a little uncomfortable 14+, but that's 'cause i'm watching myself too much i think.

because i'm so dayum pretty, i can't look away from any part of me.

oddly enough, tapping is a little more intuitive and easier.

What kind of pickups are they/pre-amp?

heh. surprised you rokk a 'wick. i guess i imprinted on dark wood grain as being a Warwick thing, so dark wood on other basses always made me think they really wished they were the Baseball Neck of DOOOOOOM!!!!

hey Numbers Man!

they're "FD-3 4L PICKUPS ON AFTERBURNER SERIES -
The FD-3 line of pickups are the direct decendents of the (F)ury (D)ingwall-1 pickups originally co-developed by Glenn MacDougall of Fury Guitar and Sheldon Dingwall."

pure passive. i'm not a huge fan of active basses. i run a preamp at the end of my singnal chain so i don't need another one in my bass.

Agreed, why would you need a preamp in your bass, when there is one on your amp? And if you really wanted another one you could buy an equalizer

lol. i'm even more utilitarian than that. i just run a power amp into my cabs.

so bass -> pedalboard (SansAmp VT Deluxe at the end for cab and FOH) -> power amp -> cab/FOH.

I use a active bass into tube amps :p I like the extra lows and the I can use my bass to ram pedals when needed :thumb: I do wish my main bass had a switch to turn the pre off sometimes but oh well..
