I scored a Dunlop Mr. Crybaby Super Volume Wah for $10 at a yardsale. Cleaned it up and checked it out. No scratchy pops and the fact that it's a volume pedal with a boost is kinda cool as well. I'm going to flip that fucker (already got one of my Guitar Players interested in it) since as a bassist I would only find the volume function useful (I'm all about envelope filters mang).
Also experiencing Deja Vu as I type this post.

but yeah, that thing is fantastic. I'm glad he's not a gloomy hedgehog with a quill as weepy as dido. He looks as happy as...a really happy hedgehog.
I just made something of an impulse buy, a Yamaha head and 1x15" bass cab for $110. Gonna run through as my wet output on my delay with a bass boosting EQ for super deep, washed out slap-back echo. Hooray for shoegaze/ambient noise rigs!
The one downside is that I'm afraid I'm going to kill myself trying to bring the cab down the stairs to the basement, but I don't want to ask my parents for help because they'll be super critical about me spending money when I'm supposed to be saving money for school.

We had a grouchy hedgehog a year or so ago (named Lola). She was hella cute but not very well socialized and never got used to handling. Taking care of her was a chore. Everytime we'd try to bath her she'd just go into shutdown/defensive/pissed off mode, making her little angry hissing noises and just balling up. We rehomed her to the lady that we got the baby pygmy from (he's 2 months old) who,...faced with some medical and personal problems had to rehome Lola as well. It sucks cause we don't want the grouchy one to be neglected and we have no idea where she went.
May wife personified Lola as unappreciative (we spent a chunk of change clearing her up from mites),...which you really can't put human emotions on an animal, but it cause the wife to really loose interest quickly.
Cecil seems like a fresh start and has a great little curious and happy seeming personality. He gets a little defensive when the dogs and cats try to investigate which is to be expected, but for the most part seems receptive to handling. I like him.

I'm working on writing the most depressing concept material I can think of as a writing exercise and so far the order of the songs is so jarring it's awesome.
