It was right about the time I ordered my hysteresis...but it was on the second page.
Thing is though that it is four knob...which is weird. I dunno, either way a different flavor (don't know which "extra glitchy" it is...or if it is even like either one of the earlier ones I have)? The added switch is probably the hi/lo impedance thing (or volume or whatever)...but the knobs correlate with my four knob? Who knows? Rhys...

Did you message him first? (That's what it says to do in the description.)
Also, you think the seller is Dave/Montgomery Appliances/(I can't remember what his screen name is here)?

Edit: Insta decline.

I mean you know this is your fault, right?
And by you I mean this thread.

Eh, the only market mojo Seppuku has is like with 10-20 people...
I can tell you that (all the memory loss videos I have done only have like 150 hits combined...not saying that I am a youtube force, just watching the way things hit when there are not a lot of memloss videos on the web...esp when comparing different makes..only half my hits come from this thread)...so all the people that watch in this thread. Basically just saying that people aren't seeking out Seppuku the way that maybe they did 5 years ago (or ever...compared to a lot of brands). The hits are always less with Seppuku than with other brands too...
Only people that are using newer Seppuku are in this thread (plus like 2-4 others...based on the short runs of like 4-5 of each pedal). So why try to gouge an informed, small, small market? Just seems lame and insulting to the market's intelligence. I mean seppuku is well known, but kind of a joke to some...and a lot of the other buyers only buy when they are really reasonable on the used market.
At least the CT5 was getting some coverage outside of 10-20 people (and things like sonic crayon are pretty well known)...so, I dunno? It just seems like a lot of risk and stupidity to try to flip something at above market when they were driven to try to gouge based on the input of basically 5-6 people (that already have a lot of these pedals and know what to expect when ordering (price/wait/quailty/random spectrum)).
At least with LAL price gouging, there is an established wide market (however still somewhat small) and a recognized name. But even then, it rarely works out (and they seem to come up for sell less than most Seppuku).
Side note: some of things I posted in the sweet shit on eBay thread was bought by this seller (recognize the listings and the dates match)...so they are watching...haha.

It seems like a move based in utter contempt for the (as LG pointed out, very niche) group of people who are actually interested. It seems more likely to piss people off than elicit sales, especially given the response in this thread, which does represent the views of many of the vocal proponents of the brand? I don't even fucking know. To me, as someone who spent years trolling pretty actively, it feels like a troll move.

I actually don't think it's such a dick move...
If it was $400 shipped, I'd probably buy it.

dunno, i just find it pretty funny. i notice people buying low and selling high in the b/s/t threads and it amuses me too.

Supply and demand, gentlemen. The demand is pretty low, but the supply is microscopic

I understand trying to profit, but do it with something that is more easily profitable than a small market item like this that is still kinda in production is all.
I just think it was a bad move as a seller is all. haha. The market is just not there to price gouge really...that's all I am saying. I mean if people can get 500 for a CT5 or a goatkeeper (to those that can't wait) then I see that as the price the buyer chose to pay for convienience. The Seppuku market is just one of total waiting and patience...so that's my thing with this situation...it isn't the price necessarily, it is just the approach to this market is all.
I mean, you know you are only going to sell to these few people...when Rhys sells his pedals they never sell out and he has always come through...eventually. It's almost like he just gets bored with that design and takes it down...
If they bought it to play it and didn't like it cool. I mean, I do that...but I sell for something for 20-50% less than I bought it new because it is technically used (even with 5 min playing time). I just think the instant decline on a pedal that "was used once" at new market value is pretty hopeful that you will find somebody impatient in this Seppuku marketplace is my only point I guess. haha.
I ain't mad either...just find it strange and lame (in this instance...more power to ya if you can pull it off I guess..).
If I want one at the price I want, I can wait haha.

Hey haters. i'm the Shkreli-belly selling this. The only reason i priced this and the CT5 high is to get trades on Reverb. I DID NOT and WOULD NOT expect someone to pay $500 for either one of these pedals. With the CT5 i just sold; I sold it because i already have a pre-order for the new version. With the memory loss, I was jonesing for this pedal for awhile, finally got it and just really wasn't into it, so i listed it on Reverb at an absurd price. The blessing/curse with Reverb is that it reaches a wider audience than just forums, but they really crack down on trading. whenever i put "will trade for...." etc in my listings, they immediately get edited by Reverb staff or get taken down. If you read the whole listing, it said "please message me before making an offer", this is so i could negotiate trades. I talked to Uglycasanova on Reverb(while trying to trade instead of taking his $400 offer, so nananabooboo) and he made me aware of this thread and I found it pretty silly, but totally feel what you guys are saying. Buuuuuutttt, I'm still not even sure which words in particular used in the listing were "smarmy" or fucked up. this pedal IS super hard to get and I don't think I've ever seen one on Reverb or eBay in years. It took me over 2 months to get mine. That's also how you sell shit, you gotta hype it sometimes. You ever slung rock on the corner by just ignoring all the crackheads that walk by you? Hell no, "READY ROCK READY ROCK FOR SALE HEEEEERE".
