Rogue One was handled like garbage.

Putting to one side the weight of history with the original trilogy, this isn't too far from the truth. Empire is very good though, R1 might be second best in the franchise.
A New Hope is kinda boring, ROTJ is more exciting.

I thought about it a lot and my feelings are that R1 is the best Film That is a Star War (has the bets character arcs and ambitious plot), but Empire is still the best example of a Star War for Star Wars' sake (mainly because there's less to find contentious than any other SW).
I think history will be much kinder to Last Jedi and much harsher on Force Awakens, once the racist fanboys get girlfriends.

That's not really what I meant - but the angles on a lot of jokes between the sons and father were the juxtaposition of blue collar roughneck vs prissy obsessive academic. Most of the time it was presented as a generational thing, but the effeminate angle was played upon plenty. I didn't mean to imply that the writers were trying to suggest the brothers were closeted and that they were demeaning toward their sexual identity. But the father's secret suspicions were played upon for laughs a lot.

That's not what I meant - I'm saying that Cheers was superior because they had already seasons of riffs on intellectuals vs working class stiffs in various scopes of focus that Frasier just continued in smaller scope. It was also quite daring for some of the issues it tried to tackle during the 80s, while Frasier was much more frivolous with its subject matter, which is odd given that Frasier is a psychiatrist. The cast (before & after coach) had some of the most natural chemistry and astute casting choices in history and they made it work without jumping the shark for nearly the entire run.
All subjective, obviously - and I love them both, and they both set very high bars for the rest of NBC sitcoms. Frasier was one of the few in the 90s who attained that quality. it definitely ages better than Friends, which I basically despise these days.
That show trained people to speak like total morons...I don't think we're even past that sphere of influence yet, unfortunately...

Friends is insufferable. I will never understand the appeal.
Cheers is a tour de force.
I have spoken.

Friends was trash. Seinfeld was funny at the time for the first 4 seasons or so, then the characters seemed to take too much ego from the real life success of the show and it seemed like they got smugger and less normal, like the characters became progressively more mean spirited or something. It's cringy watching it now.
Nowadays it seems like all comedy in media is based on people trying to out snark each other.

Social media is lame.
Forums are still the shit.
Online gaming was best when there was no matchmaking or voice chat.

Would people who are easy to please hang out on an internet forum to discuss at great length which is the best fuzz for doom?
Perhaps not.

Seinfeld is the best sitcom.
Legit was great too. Sunny was good in the beginning and has it moments. News Radio and Frasier had their moments.
I can't stand the reality TV format shows like the Office or Parks and Rec though.
Kids in the Hall was the best sketch comedy.
Once marriage happens, at least 15% of all TV turns into SVU.
