I would be be delighted to learn if the person posting that actually hated my stuff, that's like pipe dream material for me.
I think I was in the 6th grade the last time I weaponized I.Q. score talkery, and I still fucking cringe about it. It happened at a bowling alley.
I realize that's all probably a joke.
I have a little utility circuit that sums up input signals, and I've discovered it has intermodulation distortion something fierce, enough so that it almost, but not quite, acts like a ring modulator. I'm pleased.

Eek. I was, like, a junior in High School when I did that.
Granted, that was the first time someone actually revealed my IQ to me, but still.

Isn't that just a slightly altered version of that Rick and Morty copy pasta?

That's not me. That's some other person named "chankgeez". I'd never start a thread that encouraged ring mod hate.

In other news, I'd really like to hear this run through a ring mod:

Just about to post this, but Chank was quicker on the draw.
Nice Sunday evening drop from Techno Empire. There's also a Modmax filter and phaser to go with the ring mod.

Yeah, Techno Empire always gets great stuff. I think their prices are always a little high too, but...

When I first joined the forum in Spring of 2016, you could still score Metasonix stuff like that for around $400. It was expensive but I suppose reasonable. That one is just outrageous.
To put it into context, a Waldorf Microwave XT recently sold on reverb for around $800. (Two very different beasts, I know, but food for thought)

Their sources are usually California studios/gurus/ex-musos, so the territory kind of makes up for that (not Sotheby's, but also not Wimpey's of Azusa) so the items are usually top notch/collector's pieces, but pretty unique on the whole. However, they also sell tons of As Is/For Repair items that can sometimes be quite a (cheaper) deal, if you're into that sort of thing, as well as heavily worn n' stenciled road cases for your precious flutophone or xylomanticoriolis.
