true story: I finally beat the smough/ornstein battle today after about 3 days of on/off trying, and then got laid. high fives!

The gf and I are drunk, and apparently our wii sensor bar doesn't work anymore. And I've discovered that I have very few 360 games that she has any interest in playing. So I hooked up the old snes and we're now playing Super Mario World. I'm not going to lie, I had a bit of trouble finding the green switch palace, I'm a little ashamed of myself. Fuck I love the snes, best system ever.

Oh, and while I'm drunk and nostalgic, anyone else love Shenmue for the Dreamcast? Best game ever.

EDIT: We're now on Ludwig's Castle, this shit is harder than I remember.

Blazed through the story on Arkham City, now cleaning up the side missions. Bummer is, I did it on "easy" so I dont get the Game + mode enabled. GUESS ILL START OVER ON NORMAL.

beat the main story on arkham asylum...kinda disappointed with the outcome and how short it was...

Wait, asylum or city?
City's "required" story mode is really quick, it's the side missions that go on and on.

But I think in both cases the challenge maps are where the replay value is. I got AA about a month after it came out, and as of last month I was still feverishly rushing through stealth missions and beating down waves of scumbags, tryingto break my old records.

I beat the story in AC, and I still feel ike I've only scratched the surface. combat system is INTENSE and complicated. AI is really fucking clever in the stealth missions. AND I've got THREE characters to get to know on those maps, (Batman, Catwoman, Robin) they're all different.

ANd best of all? Beat it on "normal" and then theres "Game plus" mode in which I can use my sweet ass Dark Knight Returns skin.

sigh. i WANT to like the Extra Happy Funtime challenge maps..... but i hate stealth games. PASSIONATELY. so every stealthy section in Asylum i...... didn't.... play right. used the AI blindspotting to cheat like a grrL with 7 vaginas.

looking forward to City though. mooOoOOoOOOo.

yup i'm on city. i did the required story and stopped for the night. there's more missions with catwoman, robin? i havent even used robin. i feel so confused

the Catwoman thing is fucking dirty too. my little brother doesn't game online right now, so he had to come over to my house to "redeem" a chunk of the game he just FUCKING PAID $65 FOR. just a way to make someone that buys it used have to give them money.

i fucking HATE all the nickel and diming money grab stuff that the video game industry does.
