If the market demands it than that's what's its worth. They are pretty rare and sought after.

but SURELY they cant think they sound that much better

Losing your shirt is nothing, those amps are known to cost an arm and a leg.

Maybe and maybe not but at this point its more of a collectors item. There are amps though out there that are clone or very close to these amps so the people that want the tone go for those while the collectors buy these type of things.

I bet the seller doesn't even have the Dumble. It's just "Teresa" stalking him, trying to get him to call her.

Epstein is this handsome fellow:

Apparently he was a big time neuro-linguistic programmer:

http://www.nlpu.com/todbio.htm

As a musician Todd was remembered as "a dynamic and absorbing entertainer with a flair for the blues and a knack for getting to the heart of both his music and his audience" as well as for his "searing and lyrical vocals" and "dense and provocative jazz/rock chordings." In fact, he was known as "The Doctor" to many of the musicians he worked with for the way he could 'operate"-arranging music and "dissecting" a song in order to get to the heart of the matter.

I went to a few neuro linguistic programming sessions. Weird stuff.

Yeah, Chris DiPinto and Alan are buddies.

DiPinto Vintage is often a little overpriced, but sometimes they've got some nice stuff.
