I watch analog horror series on youtube with my youngest kid and you could drop this promo video into the middle of a Kane Pixels playlist and I don't think we'd notice much difference.

Erica Synths collaboration with HexInverter doing a drum machine based on the Hex “Mutant” Eurorack Drum modules.
I have an Erica Synths Perkons that I love and I always wanted to adapt a bunch of the Mutant Modules over to Serge format so I am interested.

Is Audio Computer your new favorite gear company? Their Beat Friend just got a new direct video, after being shown off at a few different trade shows in recent years.
https://audio.computer/
It's a vintage-inspired drum machine that's billed as semi-generative. It seems to walk a nice line between retro simplicity and intuitive flexibility.

Amongst other things, they're also developing this quirky ambient box labeled as the Weather Station. It's supposed to operate largely as an evolving background device, that's chiefly reliant on its own pre-recorded loops. Users have some control options to adjust the loops, but with it still being developed, it may still get more features (like user samples).

Saw from the Superbooth footage there’s a firmware update for the Body Synths Metal Fetishist in the works, proper midi control, and some alternative FX to swap into the distortion section along with the ability to reassign the lockable random seq (or cv in) to more parameters. Nice.

Personally, I still prefer the white to the first black batch or this new 'black matte.' I'm not feeling the SF Giants black & orange palette.

speaking as probably the oldest member of the group, small white text reversed out of a black background is the worst thing to try to read. but i don’t think people are using them on boards. it’s the quintessential tabletop unit.

Appropriating a product name that Moog is still using in plugin format.
The Klone thing wasn’t the first time, though I don’t recall the prior instance(s). I’m thinking Behringer is trying to draw C&D or court filings as part of its marketing strategy.

i recall the MuTron guy pissing and fuming about the Behringer Tron on Facebook recently. he might as well not worry, because the demos i heard really don't get it.

True. I should take this as a cue to futz with the Line 6 version of the MuRF on my HX One, though I may also just splurge on the whole MoogerFooger iOS bundle since it’s half off right now.

the thing that keeps me away from their effects boxes is that, unlike the drum machines and keyboards, they just don’t sound very good. at least the ones that caught my eye didn’t.
