Its happening again.
Slim pickings from me this time around as I'm in the midst of paying double rent and moving, but:
https://shutitdowncomp.bandcamp.com/alb ... lack-lives
New Rwake

and 45 other bangers by rad bands including my (sort of) neighbours from a long time ago, Urian Hackney and Rough Francis!
https://mogwai.bandcamp.com/album/2018
Mogwai Live dates from 2018. Haven't seen them live in about a decade, excited to get a chance to hear what they sound like between Special Moves and 2018 (plus the hits they've recorded in the interim).
Also the thing which solomon overlooked has finally got the digital treatment. it is a very good set and you should listen to all of them:

And one more for good measure since I adore Growing and this record is a blast (I'm also quite excited for the extras, obviously):

I skipped the last Bandcamp Friday, had plenty to grab today.
Sahel Sounds is name-your-price again, and always so much good stuff:
https://lingoseini.bandcamp.com/album/musique-hauka
Got caught up on the last couple Sonic Koalas:
https://sonickoalas.bandcamp.com/album/ ... -of-fields
Avant pop + drones assembled from a slightly-broken Barbie keyboard that someone else had tossed out:
https://bardont.bandcamp.com/album/pink
Improvisations for alto saxophone + trombone:
https://karenng.bandcamp.com/album/the-farm-session
Some Brill Building-ish tunes played on a bass piano*:
https://ryandriver.bandcamp.com/album/new-twigs
* "
The Bass Piano is created by Andrew Wedman and is a piano that has been tuned down a full octave. Lowering the pitch on the Bass Piano creates very loose strings, which alters the timbre of the instrument by increasing the inharmonicity (where the overtones are "out of tune"). The tonal quality is more clangorous than a regular piano, sounding similar to bells or chimes."
electronic pop from Bernice's Robin Dann:
https://expom.bandcamp.com/album/much-of-a-sound
a big + pretty eclectic compilation, with a couple Beverly Glenn-Copeland covers, live stuff from Sarah Davachi and Badge Époque, and, oddly, Mac Demarco (?):

I got the new Cloudckicker album and box set. More money than I wanted to spend, but all of my Cloudckicker vinyl died during my move to Boston and I wanted it back.
Also the new album fucking whips so much ass. The use of an actual drummer and more organic production kicked his sound several tiers. Also he went back to the Beacons sound rather than the postrock he had going on for a bit.

I finally got the first round of ILFs OKTA compilation,
https://okta.bandcamp.com/album/okta-am ... orations-1
some All Them Witches mp3s cause I'm too lazy to rip the incoming vinyl, to impatient to wait for it, and like to support the band
https://allthemwitches.bandcamp.com/alb ... -the-ideal
and then I went and splurged for some vinyls from the jazzier side of things that come with bandcamp downloads, obvs:
https://kokoroko.bandcamp.com/album/kokoroko
https://yussefkamaal.bandcamp.com/album/black-focus
https://idrisackamoor.bandcamp.com/album/shaman
(shit, I might have just shifted the uncontrolled shopping from pedals to vinyl

)

I dont really do the digital purchases but I do grab physical releases when available. Grabbed the 2 fluids lps (I like that nasty drum machine grind shit) and the cassette bundle from cloister recordings with tapes from God is war, code/neda, tolerant and a few others. Recommend for fans of power electronics and industrial. Also picked up a copy of the new MSW (hell) tape which sounds pretty epic.

surprised how?
I was surprised and maybe a little let down by how hard and fast it is, when they compared it to DSMHM, so my expectation going in was more mellow…
but it is growing on me each spin, mostly listening to this album now
definitely one of my favorite bands
might even get into their last album at some point
