Oh god.
Hey Jero, how much did the Behemoth set you back? You you wanted to use it as a preamp into a power amp, when you try that, let me know how it goes.
It was about $200 shipped. Most of Alan's pedals are right around there, minus the megalith. Once I borrow someones amp I'll let you know. Considered getting another one, but have Alan add a boost to the front, or a secondary gain pot/switch, so I can use it always on, then stomp it again for the growls. I could always do the secondary gain thing myself, but I'm not screwing with the proto. That's something that always attracted me to the Tronographic Rusty Box, having that boost switch.

You're the man! I doubt you will be disappointed, though I haven't tried it. I had to grab the huge box proto from bst myself.
Too bad the Rusty Box boost sucks
FUCK YOU IT'S AWESOME AND PRODUCES THE BEST DISTORTIONS
Sorry don
I will take it to my grave with you, but my OD/boost needs will be left to my doomidrive

I mean, boost in the sense that it is "a boost pedal" is wrong. It's more of a gain boost for itself, less than just boosting your signal.
Misnomer of sorts, I guess.

This is kind of what I was talking about wanting on the behemoth. Like an extra switch that is a higher gain setting, but not another circuit. dat waaht u meen?

Shellac in a box=unquestionable awesome.
If the rusty box ran off of third trimester stem cells I'd have the population crisis fixed tomorrow.

Yeah, that's essentially what it does. Kicks it just off the edge. It's cool.

I wonder what DB->Bluebeard->Bog Beast would sound like? Then add in a Behemoth later on.

Crucial things to buy
1) Bog Beast (droooool)
2) Behemoth II
3) Magnetar
4or5) Huge Box II
4or5) Heavy Machine
6)Another Megalith (stereo)
I have never dealt with such GAS it's mainly because I am soooo close to nailing "IT"
I have a solid "G&L L-2000 or SB-3000>Megalith>Bluebeard>VFE Pale Horse>SVT" relationship
But I am hoping that #2,#4 or #5 will be the "always on" pedal that will make my SVT sound like Asschapel's "Pray for Blood" from their LP "Fire and Destruction" and that the other pedals would convince me that I should carry the folded
18" in addition to the bass 4x12".
Amen.

Jero if you want to buy the Rusty Box I'll buy back the Huge Box II and reimburse you for shipping or I'll find you another Rusty Box and we can trade horses.

Teehee. I was implying there's a reason I bought the huge box, instead of the rusty box, while also findng it ironic that they are both "...box."

The rusty box's boost is kinda like the boost on a GK800rb (from what I recall) I wouldn't use it as a switchable option to pop out louder (insert TB funk bass solo here) just to dail in the grunt.

I adore my Behemoth II. Because it rocks ass. Holy living fuck it rules. It's so god damn interactive with my pickups that finding new tones from it is almost as fun as dicking around with a good tube amp. The two clipping voices are awesome, A is biting and B is thick. Both rule. Here it be turned on and off throughout this wee jam:
