Well, they're just stating his accomplishments. Take that for what you will.

IMO, he's definitely above average in certain things. I mostly love his soundtrack stuff. He's not that great as a jazz musician. He's got talent in his composing/arranging/producing. Whatever you think of him, he's a success by any measure.

If you think Quincy Jones "destroyed music", then what's overrated, is your idea of yourself as a music historian.

Read this whole thread, and no one said Pink Floyd, so I'm saying it...Pink Floyd. I think dudes were possibly allergic to fun. I like some of the Syd singles, but after that, just kill me.

I liked what they're about (less so now as Steve Ignorant turned out to be a bit of a shithouse), but I find it astonishing how highly they are regarded artistically. A lot of their music is unlistenable. I dig how they were a thorn in the side of the Tories, but the songs are crap.
