This got cut short, it was much longer. I ran out of memory on the card in my camera. Either I need to delete some shit or get a new card.

Heck yea, Chankgeez!

Awesome pairing, really. I love that stuff, enveloped fuzz on a lap steel. Get ya a beat and we're gonna take America to Ibiza (gotta get you a drum machine and vocoder).

Really good stuff man. How are you liking it compared to the noise box? I think the envelope sounds nice and is a lot like what I do with my 46/gomorrah and rattle crow (though a little less noisy).

Thanks, lordgalvar.

I honestly think I like the Noise Box better (just because I like stuff all cray cray), but it's close. The Harmonic Antagonizer is much more controllable. I'll try to do another vid soon. That one didn't come out as well as I'd hoped (not to mention it getting cut off). I'll have to play slower to really showcase how the envelope sounds when the notes decay. It's really beautiful. I think the main difference between the NB and the HA is that the HA is more predictable. The NB can be all over the place in the way it responds.

Great Chank! :)* Captures come nice edge in the filter-can definitely hear the kinship with the NB, but it has it's own thing enough to intrigue me. Loved the lap steel--great playing! I was thinking about running my lappies through my TWA Great Divide; this tips it.

Thanks, Dandolin, yeah, that was fun. I'll record some more when I get some mo' memory for the camera.

So (… and I may be repeating myself here), the Noise Box is definitely noisier than the Harmonic Antagonizer. It's glitchier and less predictable. It also stacks differently than the HA. (Don't ask about that. I'm still figuring that out. Suggestions welcome.) More limited in its application than the HA. Requires more tweaking to get useable sounds.

With the Harmonic Antagonizer, the envelope and oscillator sounds are more prominent. I think it'll cut a little better in the mix too. Sounds are more easily dialed in (and also more easily reproducible). More versatile than the NB. Probably better for live usage.

:idk: What else?

EDIT: Oh, yeah, the Harmonic Antagonizer also seems more sensitive to picking dynamics.

So, I'm borrowing this LAL Tone Axe from lordgalvar and I found this amazing arpeggiator type thing running it into the Harmonic Antagonizer.

Will record something when I have a chance.

(I am also now in possession of an Absolüte Würst.) :snax:

Yeah, rolling the guitar volume back when playing the Tone Axe causes some interesting things to happen.

From the EQD facebook:
If you are coming to NAMM on Saturday you should come check this out! Our pals at Vintage King Audio have assembled an eclectic group of mad scientists who will be sharing their effects pedal design philosophies at Summer NAMM. Expect a lively discussion with some of the most creative designers in the music products industry including Robert Keeley of Keeley Electronics Jamie Stillman of EarthQuaker Devices Phillipe Herndon of Caroline Guitar Company & Josh Scott of JHS Pedals. Moderated by F. Reid Shippen at booth #654 12:30PM-1:30PM
Who's going to ask Kelley about the truth? Chankgeez, get some glasses and a Fedora and sit in as F. Reid Shippen. I don't think they know what he looks like.

I was gonna post some first impressions last night, but I didn't. :idk: So, I'll tell you now:

Keeley = FAIL!!! :!!!:

If this's the most "broken sounding" he can make a pedal sound, he's in trouble. Maybe it's weird to people who usually play Keeley pedals, but it's not in the least bit weird to me. All the sounds are actually pretty üsable. Try again, Keeley! I like this pedal! I just got a new flash card fo' my camera. So, I can make mo' videos. I think my favorite mode is the pitch up. It sounds like the circus.

Yes that's what I was hoping to hear!!!

I'm guessing keeley actually liked it but didn't want to admit it to his fans and was like oh lol isn't this the worst? Just to cover his ass. Kinda like the guy who texts the girl a dick pic then says whoops sorry that was totally my friend.
