It's quite a nice overdrive, and you can dial in intermodulation to make it trashy. But you only get that bubbly synthy sound if you have a neck pickup and wind back the tone control. I have neither a neck pickup nor a tone control in any of my guitars, because bridge pickup 100% volume is the only way to ride. But yeah. Nice pedal. I like it.
The sleeper bass thread made me want a fender squier bass. In depth research with DoS has led me to conclude it's pbass or bust for me. Why then does fender make a couple of cheap left handed squier jbasses but the cheapest lefty pbass is like 800 usd, which at current exchange rates would involve me having to mortgage my aparent and or first born son to afford it?

What have you done???
I've really been lusting for a bass lately. Probably just because the bass player in our band refuses tu use effects and I love some of my dirt on bass.
Edith says: I have no idea about the different styles of basses. I'm kind of partial to a hollow body bass, because I like that wooden honkey tone. But P and J are also interesting even though I have no idea how to tell them apart.

You do, though -- you just don't know it yet. It's like people that say they "don't know theory" but they still know intervals: they just don't know what to call them.
edit: and that's so fucking weird that Fender doesn't make a lefty Squier PBass.

Bills=I've got to sell some shit, but I keep going "but I need that for that one song" or "but I'll never get my hands on another one again" or "if I buy this again I'll have to pay shipping+taxes+customs fees again".
Horder mode is strong with this one.

I've been in a major selling mode too. First I spent too much, so I started selling off things to pay for the other things, but then it just kind of spiraled into letting go of everything that I don't gig with sans like 3ish pedals. It's actually felt great. I don't hardly miss any of what I sold off at all. And the best part is I've almost sold enough to pay off the other things! Can't wait to have a zero balance.

Haha. Thanks but sorry, that's my always-on pedal in the "normal" band I'm playing in.
I'm going to do some thinking and post a thread in BTS soon.
edit: probably going to try to sell it to fellow Norwegians first. Save some money on postage+they pay more because of import taxes.

I want an iPad for synthing/possibly as a shitty portable recording unit. Can I get away with the cheap one or should I save up for a fancier one?

whatever confession - I'm craving more basses so i can use different strings and get drastically different sounds and feels
it's literally so i can use different sets of strings
because i fell in love with bass strings. Never felt differences as much on guitar - bass is a completely different beast to me

I loved my Meet Maude until I tried to use it live the other day. I love the modulation on it when I play by myself but when I was using it in a band context it just made me sound out of tune. So I then I turned the modulation off and it just sounded like a regular old delay. I love how it was voiced but I couldn't justify a pedal like that on my board if I'm not using it for its special/unique functions.
I'm also slowly realizing that when playing live I only really use delay for washy stuff and use it after reverb to extend the decay of the reverb trails...

haha that is awesome. I am craving more guitars mostly to fuck around with different tunings. My bass has 8 year old strings. I don't think they've ever been changed.
