Yeah, there was a thread in a Facebook group where people started bashing DOD/Digitech/Harman for "fucking up their orders and sending it to Georgia" only to have their pedals show up later that day.

Lol, why would you bash a company giving you a $30 pedal? Thanks digitech for the awesome deal!

The customer is always right, even when the deal should be too good to be true lol

If a company is fucking up the shipping, it's fucking up the shipping. The price of the goods don't matter.

Fucking up the tracking, not the shipping, but you got a point. People are spending money with them, not getting freebies.

Yeah, but, these are the same people that probably buy boutique pedals from companies that don't even provide tracking info.

So, freaking out and calling Harman an "awful company" because your tracking information wasn't correct is stepping into the piece-of-shit-customer realm.

Yes and no to a degree. It's a third party handling the tracking, not Digitech or Harman. You could blame them for not switching to a different shop management system, but this is higher traffic than standard. And if you get mad at the companies when they try a different way of getting rid of overstock, you discourage them from offering similar deals in the future for fear of blowback.
As always, things aren't black and white

DRodriguez is correct, we hired Shopatron and Kibo to handle order entry and tracking because we as a manufacturer are not equipped to handle direct orders of any serious volume. Clearly this has not worked out for various reasons. We have our CS people working overtime, and have pulled in people from other depts to help.
An automated Shopatron backorder message has recently been going out with an option to cancel your order. While we are not actually backordered, we felt it was important to offer the option to cancel orders for those who are getting aggravated at the wait. If you are one of the aggrieved please cancel your order, otherwise please accept our apologies and we appreciate your patience while we work our way through the orders.

I left out the "Thanks digitech for the awesome deal!" part, cause I didn't wanna make this about Digitech specifically, but answer the question "why would you bash a company giving you a $30 pedal?". But, imo, the company selling a product, is also responsible for the services they use to get their product to the customer, and if those services aren't up to par, the company should find a different provider. Blowback is usually a result of not having your shit together.
Do you know how much traffic Harman/Digitech normally has, or are you just assuming that it's more than usual?

Seriously!! $40 with free shipping for a fantastically designed pedal that sounds amazing? Who cares if it takes a month let alone a week?

Then what it is the amount of money a customer has to spend with a company, to have the right to be dissatisfied?

You don't find the Boneshaker. The Boneshaker finds you when it knows you're ready.
