Here's 25 heading to Music Toyz on Monday, next up is Axe And You Shall Receive! These stores will receive the first miniberators too, along with Analogue Haven and our local store, the Acoustic Music Shop.

bee-tee-dubs - it's probably been asked and answered before but how much are the miniberators gonna cost?

No SDDs...

Those Woofer Wailers are HOT though.

Each time I see these, my GAS gets worse. :(

This.

Also Ryan, what kind of things would the big reverberator have, I'm pretty sure I've seen you answer this question before, but I'm feeling lazy :poke:

The new miniberators are exactly the same as the old RRR, just in a smaller enclosure and with a less detailed paint job. Same Dr. Scientist quality for a lower price!

Perhaps it wasn't particularly clear, I'm talking about the plans for the new big reverberators which DR S are supposed to be working on later on in the year.

 I can read. Really, I knew you were talking about the bigberators, honest!

I think he said he was breadboarding something, but I don't think he knows what things are also going to be thrown in them. Maybe he'll throw in a mini-echo chamber and have five springs for massive 'verbing.

Hey gents!

Let's see.. Teddy did order 5 SDDs it's just that we're in between boards at the moment, we're about 3 weeks away from receiving our batch of them so he's just gotta wait a bit and then we'll send him the 5 he ordered.

The miniberators are going to have an MSRP of $225 and keep in mind they're exactly the same as the old version.. they use all the same top notch components and hard ware and do all the same things with darn near as much style.

The bigberator is still in the ether a bit I'm afraid... my plan is to experiment with the software on the chip (or possibly a new chip) and make some new sounds. Other goals include decay control on a knob, some frequency control, maybe even modulation of some sort. Mainly though I want to explore some new sounds and first up will be writing code for a spring simulation. (The Belton brick just isn't for me and neither is making a complicated spring simulation with delay chips, like the breadboard picture you saw on Faceboook.)

Question answered :joy: Cheers! and I'm sure we'll see fantastic results come the end of the bigberator. :thumb:

I will buy you the remaining world supply of BBD chips if you put modulation in it.

Hey FS, the modulation trick I figured out doesn't even need a BBD and sounds pretty neat.. but it's a global modulation, it affects every patch, and I'm not positive just yet if that's worth 2 knobs for, like if it's a feature enough people want that it's worth the extra complication both inside and outside the box. It does sound neat though and I'm a sucker for warble.

Picture this...in the not too distant future, a crazed scientist discovers the secret of the verb. He tries to contain it. To box it up. But there was just too much spacey sound to fit in one tiny box. In a fit of rage, the verb escaped it's prison a veritable hydra of reverberation and modulation, destroying everything in it's path. Out of desperation the scientist created a larger enclosure. One with two footswitches, so the double headed reverb/modulation beast could be contained, and summoned, at will.

:omg:

I love it, FS, great story there! I have been thinking that I have to make two new RRR write-ups for the website and that's right up my alley! *smile*

So you guys like the idea of global modulation on a reverb pedal, hey? I was quite tickled when I made it on the bread board but I've pondered it and chatted about it with a few savvy folks and I'm just not positive about it. I guess it depends on how the other things I'm pondering pan out. I can't help but like it though, it just sounds neat. And on slow extreme settings it just sounds creepy and I love that, like how the movie studio music goes all sour and creepy at the beginning of Aliens.

Seriously though, if you want to outsource, I do it for fun...

Or you could make it as a module for the miniberator. I think a reverse gate and a 1/4 male on the right side instead of the input jack would do it, and when their powers combine... :omg:

But Aliens has a great score, so that's a sound that should be pursued.

What else are you pondering?
