When I drink Tim's, I like to splash some Silk French Vanilla cream in it (no sugar). Makes it way better.

i know that people who like coffee will always roll their eyes when i take mine with milk and sugar...

one thing (still) is that i always drink shitty coffee with milk and sugar - because i enjoy it that way. The better the coffee is, the less sugar and milk i put in, but i still enjoy it (also i don't coffees that are sour, so i level the taste with milk and sugar)

I like the taste exactly as i like to drink it. I enjoy MY coffee, all shit put in aside. I like it as a treat and a sweat, of course there is the ritual and routine part of it, but it's not like i get anxious when i don't drink it...

oh and cream is boss, of course :) but as a student, i usually only have milk
Good answer, good answer.

Bad coffee always requires milk/cream and really bad coffee also requires sugar.

How do you say "greasy spoon" in Czech?
"Mastná lžíce"? Is that like an idiom for bad coffee?

also... gotta agree with you, if i had to choose, milk/cream is the way, sugar is just an extra

Just got a new drip coffee pot for Christmas. I really wanted something that had a vacuum sealed carafe and nabbed just that. Zojirushi is the brand. Reviews seemed to be pretty good.
Last night I ran some water through it just to make sure it was functioning and to clean any dust out from the packaging. I left the water in the carafe for about 2.5 hours. It was still hot as it was when it came out. And since it doesn't have a bottom plate burner that means coffee isn't burning to the bottom of it. I'm so fucking stoked.

My broham bought me some coffee from this new local place in our hometown called ThunderBrew. Some French Roast and some other dark roast that the owner told my brother to "watch out, it's very strong and potent."

I'm pleased as a pig in shit.

OMG, Czech pronunciation is so lost on me. I'm gonna have to start watching some Czech films again.

Well, in itself "greasy spoon" isn't an idiom for bad coffee, but if you said "greasy spoon coffee" to me, that wouldn't imply good coffee.

Yeah, milk/cream takes some of the edge off the bitterness of bad coffee and sugar is good for covering up really bad taste.

I'm going to have to try putting a little salt and sugar in bad coffee. Saltiness is a complementary flavour to bitterness, and it masks bitterness a lot better than sugar. You can test it with a bitter beer to taste the effect - it's much more pronounced than sugar, which just kinda makes stuff sugary but still bitter. I try and avoid bad coffee in general, but I might seek some out and test it.

Milk is though the great saviour for bad coffee.

VERY strong and VERY sweet

its supposed to be the traditional way i guess?

Yeah. The bitterness is still present, it's just sweet as hell haha. I prefer drinking Italian coffee outside of Italy :)

That sounds like a Café Cubano.
