Perfect combination!

I have Univalves Mini on a loan and it's gonna hurt to give that back to him. It just works so well in front of the demo tape. They compliment each other nicely, because I do like my fuzz sputtery. The Mini covers (a lot) more ground but there is something to the Demo Tape that just works. I have the Mini set with the bias fairly low so that it crackles like the Demo Tape but with more bass. If I run them into another it sounds like replacing your speaker membrane with the crumbling concrete and rusting iron of decrepit factory walls.
Run a resonant filter in between and you are in noise wonderland or, depending on settings, in synth territories.

The want is strong.

Cool that you dig it! I thought, that thi will be your favorite one out of the four.
You can keep that one at least for 2 months. There is no need right now over here. :)*

Randy's Revenge (GASing haaaaard for one)
Cosmichorus
Boomerang Plus

I could rock this set-up for many a long time. Ring mod and trem are my two favorite things into chorus/vibrato, and then the 'Rang for looping or delays or reverse nonsense...yep, contentness.

A Particle almost made it into this post. It would be more fun than a Randy's, but we're trying to be sensible folk here, right? ...riiiight?

Tell me how awesome it is

And to who said the deluxe pitch pirate has a lot of white noise, while I do agree I think that's also part of its charm. I love the shit out of mine

nah cass, not like this :/

i don't know why it reacts that way to my preamp, in the loop it sounds what the rest of the world calls slightly lo-fi at higher delay times but BEAUTIFUL - like on all the demos.
in front of the amp i get white noise that you can't really like :P

I've never had a d.pitch pirate...but it's on the list of things to try so I'm curious about the noise being described...

Is [it] always present, in the dry signal or just the wet?
If you bought it used, someone may have tampered with trimpots...

Have you tried running [the DPP] behind an eq/buffer pedal like the Fromel Shape EQ?

Also what kind of amp are you using...my current chain is hovering around 10 pedals in front of a vintage Selmer and some orders I've tried cause certain effects to introduce noise in the amp, and other pedals...especially those where modulation and high power are involved (DMM, Tremolessence)

Also try changing power supplies/outs. :idk:

Hope you get to the bottom of this.

If there were the smilie for it, I'd smilie-kiss you now!
I really wanted to like the STEP, but I don't jive with it. :idk:

I'll text you about the 2nd voice, mang. That one is actually the one I like the most out of the four, really. It just works much better than the Harmony synth, both for my droney stuff and for straight playing. I think the Bastin and the 2nd Voice DLX were made for each other.

What's funny is that I didn't expect to like the Step as much as I do. But man I dig it.

It's a weird one. Maybe it's just the direct comparison to the Mini that is making me feel this way. idk.

It doesn't do what I expect it to do, it kind of annoys me that so many sounds are on switches, not pots. Usually that would be something I like, I am a simpleton and set a pedal one way and only adjust slightly afterwards. But here the switches don't get me the sound I am looking for. So relaxing to fumble the knobbers of that midget fuck. (TWSSIAJ)
It might just not play well with the Bastin. I found that while I have grown fond of the sound of these Phat Cat pickups, they make some fuzz behave in a strange way. Different than I am used to at least.

What I find is that it helps to have an amp you REALLY like the distorted sound of. And then just set the attack knob at near nine or ten o clock (much like most tone dweebs set their MKI benders), and use it as a ballsy fucking boost.

DTF is the best fuzz! :-)
It's really sensitive to how you play.
Low gain sound like playing through a tape deck.
High gain sound a bit like a germanuim muff.
The EQ is the best part... so much range.
