You need to get this first excane and do a proper demo... Guitar and bass. Or maybe you should wait till I pay for mine so the wait list doesn't turn into 6 months

Well I ordered a Deluxe. Impulse buy last night. Kinda feel stupid because if I'd have sat and thought about it long enough, I'd have realized I'm probably better served waiting on the revamped Harmony Synth since my Robot Factory Brain Freeze is all things filter and is never leaving my board. Ah well. I'll probably look to flip once the new Harmony Synth is announced.

I think you can take the fuzz voice away, but the harmony voice itself is always kind of fuzzy depending what you do with the range knob and the filter. The filters on the deluxe should really allow you to tame each voice (or make them more aggressive) as much as you like.

Pretty sure the Deluxe is Ken's idea of what the Harmony Synth should've been to start with. I think he's gonna be focused on the Disc Echo stuff (and Console if that thing is still going?) for the next year or so. Based on that info, I went ahead with a Deluxe as well but goddamn I ordered forever ago.....excited!

YES. (Advantage of living in Portland, I guess, got it the next afternoon.) Only got to play around for about half an hour... So many knobs on the Deluxe, kinda tricky to dial in the right sound when first sitting down with it, but clearly huge potential. Will try to post a demo with four-way CV action soon.

Any thoughts on those who have received the Deluxe? I am patiently waiting on the sidelines.

I posted in a couple of other threads... but I'll post here too.
I like it a lot. It's basically like the original but with all the weird shit gone (clicking, crazy volume taper, noise). Having a volume for each of the voices works really well for creating different sounds/timbres. The gate on the fuzz is perfect. The filter/resonance lets you tame/mold each of the tones. I was a little afraid I wouldn't be able to get the sounds from the original 2nd Voice, but they are all there. Running the Suboctave by itself is a lot of fun... I sent that through to the Oxide into the Xerograph and got a really raunchy, meaty sound... but you can also just run it by itself for synthy goodness. Like theSteven said above, it does take a few minutes to acclimate to it - and the knobs are pretty tight, but the layout is logical and easy to dial-in once you have an understanding.
