My buddy ordered several years ago one like that. Didn't blow me away and did not stand the test against my MIM Telecaster with Charlie Christian PU
He thought the same and sold it after some weeks...

I think that's the only type of Tele I would end up owning, one with a P90 neck. I think it would lead to interesting toanzz. SX has really cheap ones with a 90 in the neck, I think I might have to save up for one or something

I'm waiting patiently for my Rice pine tele ... actually not so patiently.
In the meantime I put together a partscaster with a chunky Protocaster rosewood fboard neck, Callaham hardware, Don Mare DanOCasters (awesome pickups), and Peghead nitro body.
Oops, only pic I have has the Bill Cook maple neck on it.
