I guess the Megalith didn't work for me as it did for most people on here. The low end and saturation was amazing but the top end was a little to fizzy with my setup.

However that was on guitar and I believe it would probably sound downright brutal with a bass rig as evidenced by Excane's demos. I guess I didn't really talk you out of it

A mere formality.

Nonsense! All you need is a mammoth analog project delay.

:snax:

I've built the Cavedweller and I love it, but it cuts a LOT of highs out of the signal when engaged, I think that's just the nature of the PT2399 delay chip. I think it would be an awesome challenge to do the Analog Delay from Madbean :D

You don't. They are fun, sure. But I played one the other day after trading mine away 4-5 months ago, and didn't really miss it. It's awesome, sure. Trading it sent me on a dark, expensive delay journey. But I don't want one back. So many other things to try out there anyway.

I think what's drawing me back to it is stereo in/out, the infinite repeat function, the additional spring reverb (which I used heavily), and the looper... I realized I traded or sold almost all of my delays and now I'm in a panic. I could use another DD7, but at the same time that doesn't have reverb on top... Hmmm

Heh I got rid of my first El Cap for a Timeline and then got rid of my TimeLine for a new Sunn head :(

hah I just remembered that this new Sunn head has spring reverb. So I guess it's not as important as I thought. SO I GUESS I DONT NEED STRYMON AHHH

I don't GET the Strymon hype.

I think they're good for what they do. I like the El Cap cause you can blend in spring reverb and its got a primitive looper. At the same time I think the hype behind them is a little much. I get a little sick of hearing about them, and the TGP thread about the Flint debut was just plain stupid.

TimeLine is cool because it IS too much. Lets be honest. It's just VAST. And that's what I dug about it. I never got bored with it when I had it. But that could also be a problem hehe

I mean, I use my Boomerang Plus as both a looper and a tap-tempo/stuttery delay, but I need an additional delay AND an additional looper. Timeline has appeal, but it has even more unobtanium.

I had an El Cap. Didn't like it (it got A/B'd against a Malekko 600D, but even so..), traded for a Rusty Box (which was a very smart choice on my part), and haven't had any Strymon want since.
