Yeah, Thunderverbs are pretty BADASS. Think they just released a 100W as well, maybe? I definitely prefer it over the RV series. The guts of the modern Orange stuff leaves MUCH to be desired, especially at those prices!

What I'd really like is some old school Orange!

Yes, there's a 100W, which I think is switchable to 50W and there's a 30W version as well. Thunderverb vs Rockerverb really isn't a contest at all.

The only one i can think of is the 2000s even then i thought it was like the Model T and only rated at 150watts even running 4 6550's or kt88's

C'mon guys...i said it was the ultimate doom rig...I didn't say it actually existed! :) Although the subwoofer section is real...

Although...gotta say...why are you assuming the cabs are original matches and not custom? Easy enough to find or make a custom 8x10 cab...a lot harder to find a non existetent headwith higher than usual than wattage ratings...

Ahhhh i'm picking up what your putting down now. :thumb: Although if you had put in the title "Fictional Ultimate Doom Rig" it might have been a lil easier to understand.

Because of the way you worded it my friend. Oh i know how easy it is to order custom cabs in what ever you can dream up. (How many people you know have a 3x15? I've got the only emperor one that i'm aware of) As far as finding a 200 watt Sunn head, out bassist has a 2000s that needs some work and i know a rather talented amp tech that could mos def make it run at 200watts instead of 150. So actually their both equally as easy to accomplish if you know where to look and who to talk too. ;)

How much does that 3x15 weigh? Is it a massive effort to lift?

Can't make heavy music with lightweight gear... homeboy.

I still amazed no one has looked at or commented on the subwoofer system I specified...that's the kicker right there...

105lbs, the matching 6x12 is actually heavier probably closer to 125. As far as a massive lift its pretty hefty, luckily my large mountain man body structure helps a bit  I only use them for gigs though so i get a band mate or freebie roadie who's drooling over the gear to help out. The worst part is lifting it into the van.

I wish I had the luxury of a bandmate to help with my 2x10 +1x18 cab :(

I'd fucking love to make that real...a 24 hr doom/noise/glitch event in a hidden cavern somewhere...

All we need now is a cavern and an audience.....

we don't need an audience, it'll be loud enough from bouncing off cave walls people won't have to make an effort to come watch

Nah....s'no good unless they are bombarded with with all those lovely sub bass waves until their eyes and ears bleed....

It ain't doom until someone bleeds.....
