Mine goes from LOUD-LOUDER.
I think it killed my Ampeg..

They are REALLY loud. and destroy. Hence the name Volume stays like 1/5 of the way up when I use it.
I would love to get one of those shitty little 8" practice combos and crank TGD into it till one thing or another, explodes.

there wasn't anything on the sheet about connecting it to anything other than its first point furthest left on the pcb, should i have connected it to something else as well?

You're fine, the "1" spot on the board for the volume is connected to ground already.

I am fairly new to this, but this isnt my first pedal. I have built and rebuilt several times now, with no luck. Im wondering if i got a bad chip, but Im not sure how to test it.
I can post a pic later, but my gut shot looks exactly like the gut posted prior.

Anyways, im just curious if anybody else has had weird/ intermittent results.

If you had wired it up with the power wrong at any point, you may have ruined the chip, which would cause no sound to come out. Send me a pm or email and I can get you another one for a couple bucks.

If you getting sound (the right sound!) intermittently, then you just have a short somewhere, I think.

Anyway, more details on what exactly is going on, please : )

Bad solder joint is usually the culprit here, but if you are shorting to ground it can sound the same.
