Sweet. When are you gonna install the behind-the-bridge pickup? :snax:

Speaking of projects, I really want Tom's Bass VI in the bst.
It's so pretty and looks like it would be a fun project to finish.

I just looked into that and wow someone jump on that! Looks so badass!

I've finally gotten my Bass VI back and been playing the shit out of it.
The trem arm is super buzzy though (there's play between the arm and the opening for the arm)
So I'm gassing for on of these:

I'm using my bass vi money to fix up my current bass. Seemed more rewarding, but dammit, I want a bass vi.

So right now, I'm GASing for a p/j set of lace alumitones, some black metal knobs, and a new bridge, all for my Squier VM jag. I also really want an etched metal tag to put on the headstock. With moon phases on it. Mmmmmm.

And I think I'm getting a pt Jr, if the guy will ever respond to my texts.

I borrowed D Dub's marsh chapel while I get an enclosure sent and finish my design for the etch. Gonna be so doom. The pedal itself fucking destroys. Punchy and gnarly as balls. When I run my mini into it, it gets super squishy and unresponsive, in the best way. There's like a lag when I hit a note and everything just sounds like its falling apart. Great with some reverb and huge chords.

I am going go try stacking it into my tafm tomorrow, and running it before the Mini. So fun. It kicks ass by itself as well. So good with the tone rolled off.

I stopped playing my bass when I got my Bass VI. So I traded it for a fretless bass. So far no regrets
I am also really gassing for a PTJr. Would be so nice to clean up my pedals and I don't think I'd need a bigger one

Im just worried about the string spacing. My hands feel really precise on bass but get really stupid on guitar. I worry that it will be the same problem on bass vi. And I havent been able to find one to try out around here.

Yeah you'd probably be best trying one out before then. I feel like the spacing is greater than the guitar but I also have like the exact opposite problem. I feel comfortable on the guitar but then get all messed up on the bass

I have barely touched my Jazz I've had for almost 20 years since getting the VI.

The Jazz is a fine instrument.

The VI is home.

Dude! I love it. I messed with the color control and got it where I liked it. Pretty near flat, I think, but its still got tons of low end to match the growly punchy fuzz.

I could see this being my main heavy fuzz sound, with the Buzzz and tafm for weirder tones. Its like the perfect amount of heavy. Not synthy, not starved, just a bad ass fuzz.

This impressed me way more than I expected it to. My first fuzz was a Bass Big Muff Pi, and I liked the muff sound but hated getting lost in the mix, and the blend fucking sucked. This is everything I liked but actually useable. And the looowwwwwws.

Anyone looking for a new fuzz should get one of the two for sale in the bst right now.

Ill try to record clips tomorrow.

I was highly considering picking one up. I take it the mids run pretty flat then, since there seem to be no mix issues?
