So I know no one is really paying attention to my posts, but I have to vent. I had my heart set on buying this fucking bass, have been selling shit left and fucking right to get it. I made initial contact with the dude over a week ago about it. I came to find out today through someone else's post that they put a down payment on it. A down payment! I wasn't even given the option to put anything down and this motherfucker is up and buying it out from under me! I've PM'd the guy several times, and he hasn't even responded. I was wondering why he wouldn't respond to my "I'll take it" PM's. Fucking BS. If you have a goddamn sales thread, update that shit to reflect what's going on. Seriously.

Now I'm going to be out a bass and looking for a good deal to come by. Hopefully it does. So annoying.

You'll all eventually plug a passive bass into some pedals and think "What the hell is this battery cooked preamp shite I have been strangling my tone with?"

Your pedals will fall in love with you and all will become good in the world. This is my long term prediction for when you all become old bastards.

I've had actives and passives all along, and honestly never heard fuck all of a difference between the two, except on fuzz face clones and a couple other old fuzzes. Right now my bass lineup is two passive (Rick 4001 and Squier VM Jag) and one that can switch between active and passive (G&L L-2500). I prefer active on the G&L, because it growls more. But the Rick growls the most, and it's all passive. So basically, I find 99/100ths of the active/passive thing to be fucking hogwash.

I think it's a combination of all sorts of stuff - rig, playing style etc. that said, I could never get a really nice active musicman classic or a lowend jazz to interact with dirt pedals like passive basses do. The same with an ibanez atk. Each to their own and all if that. Some dickhead on TB told me its all in the fingers anyway

Even though the "wise" advice comes from multiple TB douches, I usually roll them into the same single character in my head. I call this guy - BASS HERO!

BASS HERO has played every piece of gear ever released and knows every famous person in the world intimately. He (because chicks aren't real musicians) hints at a background as a multi-platinum selling artist who retired due to personal reasons. He is weary of answering questions constantly from other adoring forum members. That said, there is no evidence of his musical career online.
