EAT. A. DICK. eat a whole BOWL of dicks.

Wtf you pussies. So much good music made by ruthless taskmaster dick head band leaders, is it a fucking band or a daycare. You have a problem with that it's gonna come out of your cut!

It would be a badge of honor for any of you jerks to get docked all your pay and kicked out of the band by James Brown!

From what I've heard, Miles Davis was just totally batshit weird in general.

Yeah, but at the same time he's so musically intimidating that it makes sense.
I dig Charles Mingus, and he did a lot of the same shit. I have one album, UCLA 65, where he stops the jamming, and at some point sends a bunch of the dudes off stage 'cause they don't have their shit together.
To my jazz-tarded ear, they hadn't done anything worth dismissal, but the next track is the "right" version of the song and it's always better.

My dad had that album as well and he could never hear where the mistake(s) were either, but I remember that he also didn't think it (sending the players off to sort it out) was done maliciously...the piece was still in development and the recording session wasn't supposed to present the final version. Or something like that.

Musical? The bitch sang. It's not like he did anything musical. And my place in history as the bassist who cut his douchecanoe ass would have been cemented.

Miles Davis?

I don't know who wrote the tunes for James Brown, but they're rad.
