How do I get the sound that starts at 3:02 and goes until the end? It's something I've been after for a while. It sounds like a low pass filter sweep with a slide possibly? There's more to it than that I feel like though.

Sounds like a shitty drum kit from Fruity Loops.

Yeah, I know. I was just poking some fun ;) (less at you and more at Fruity Loops because it sucked then and it sucks now).

seems odd but we shall see
I would have to go through a listing, but they seem hands-off compared to Reverb (which is Chicago Music Exchange). You wonder if they have any intervention in the sale process or just dump you out into PayPal fulfillment. (With Reverb, you wonder how much of the point is really to improve CME's bulk shipping discount.)

Yea, that $0.40 discount they pass on is a little funny. That is the one thing that eBay actually excells at (but whatever is saved on their good, caluclated rates for the purchaser, the seller makes it up in fees).

I think it is just going to use PayPal and all the risk is going to be on the seller and buyer like you say. No mediation or anything. I think this is a move to increase traffic and exposure on their products/page. I think it is a move to bring some additional seaches/SEO to their page through listing rarer and a wider variety of pedals.

Around Christmas we get this flyers for this "rare and import" video game shop. They got me to go in by showing a picture of "Battle Garegga" for the Sega Saturn on their flyer. It got me to go in, but there is no way that they would stock that game enough to make it worth it (overhead and margin-wise). They just list it to get the big spenders in the store ("Well, I am already here"). Like a guy lists his Count To 5 on there, it is going to drive some traffic, even though there is no point to them stocking it because there is no real profit for them (and availiablity).

Still, I think it is an odd move...but they don't list on Reverb or eBay, so this might just be a move for exposure?

Hah, there's an arcade version of this game not very far from my desk at work. With all the wires and PCBs exposed :).

Dang, pick that up if you can and sell it in the US. Anything Yagawa/Raizing/Toaplan/Cave fetches high costs here. Hell, Battle Garegga sells for $250 on Saturn. People pay over $2k for some Cave PCBs.

Ibara for PS2 sells for $100 or more and it is terrible.

Awesome that you got some good STGs around you. Wish I could still play them but my eyes ain't what they used to be! 1cc some Gradius, Dodonpachi, Dangun Feveron, etc are some of my videogame favorite achievements. But Battle Garegga is rough with its rank system and I have a hard time getting to level two. Pink Sweets, Armed Police Batrider, and Bakraid are all a blast too.

Man, going to go get my Saturn out (or dreamcast)! haha.

Damn...

I guess it had to happen eventually.

Ok, my question:

I play through my sunn beta lead 2x12 most of the time. It is way quieter now all the sudden but it doesn't sound like a blown speaker or anything is distorted...it actually sounds cleaner than it did last week (gave it a few days off and played throught the sorado). Am I getting deaf or could something else be wrong? It used to rattle my house at 4 on master and 1 on channel volume (always 1 or 2 on gain) now I am turning it up to 5/6 on master and 5/6 on channel and it still doesn't sound as loud.

I dunno, weird...maybe I got used to the sorado with 6x10s? But that didn't seem that much louder really and I don't have any hearing loss...

My Gristleizer has decided that today it will operate without no input and without affecting the input signal. Anyone have any ideas on why/what can be done?

I'm blaming the SOMMS as a corrupting influence.

Why all the FL Studio hate? I have a few cheesy songs I am proud of. I'll try to dig em up. One even incorporates some shortwave number stations from the Conet Project.

Here's a short Fruity Loops song I made like 5 years ago. I actually like this one - has a nice melody. It is an mbira plugin :)

The Astonishing Tail of Lolly Llama
