Sometimes I miss my 400+ but I'm glad it went to a good home. I don't play bass out anymore so it's good that someone is using it and happy...

I saw this picture of Hendrix, all he used was a wah.... And not even the Jim Dunlop Jimi Hedrix wah, just some old thing.....

I was eye balling the 400+
how do you like it?
Dude I fucking love it, I used to have to worry about "cutting thru the mix" now I'm concerned with overpowering it,
my guitarist now needs a bigger amp thanks to me, I'm hunting for a Sunn for him to buy which i have no problem with at all

Police never showed up until I got that 400+ and the band started adjusting to it.

This thread is a reminder that I need to stop wasting my money on pedals and get to work on getting better amps.

I know that for a fact, I have had a little shitty 15 watter that sounded like crap and I never wanted to play, now that I have rad amp I want to play a lot more than I normally due.

Re: Let's see your AMP!
ok so i'll post than just one here... hope that's ok!
i used to be a chronic amp-a-holic, but i've downsized now.
my #1 main amp (for many years now) is this '68 Twin Reverb. bought it about 10 years ago for $200, came with crappy 60s sunn PA speakers. i put some Jensen C12N's in it, recapped it and gave it its long-deserved TLC.

my beloved '64 Vibrolux Reverb. has new (cheap) trannies, so i'm gonna restore it someday. been saying that for about 5 years now. but it sounds great as-is. it's in REALLY nice/clean shape, too!

then, there's my late 60s Sound City B100 head. LOVE that thing, but it's just more comfortable to take a combo instead of the head/cab thing.
the marshall cab is a 1976 vintage 1982B with blackback celestions.

another one i'm (very slowly) restoring, i basically saved it from the thrash. '68 Super Reverb. i've had (and stupidly sold) LOTS of SR's. i love the sound of them 10 inch speakers!!!

Sound City 50plus from the early 70s - currently not working (sure hope it wasn't the tranny. stopped making sound about 5 years ago, but i need to recap it first...). and my lovely late 60s (i think) Sunn 4x10 cab. man if this thing could talk...

and sorry i don't have a better pic now, this is my '73 Orange 4x12 cab. i restored it the best i could, but the speakers are original celestion greenbacks.
this is SO damn heavy it has never left the house. i used it with the '68 bassman (yes the cab is currently wired for 4 ohms) for years, but sold that head last month cuz i was broke.

i think i'll use the orange with my old Acoustic 370 bass head, as i'm getting into bass a bit, too.

it's perfect for the bass/guitar sounds of my '63 Fender VI (currently stripped and getting ready to be refinished by Danocaster!)
that's pretty much it, i think.
Pat.

370 is also easier than you think to acquire.
