also, Troubleshooting Time! all the effects but one on one side of my looper work, the other side not at all.

urm.... Ciokolate has AC and DC, each is clearly marked, so i have the appropriate stuff plugged into the appropriate current.... but would the cables be different? i thought cables were the same AC and DC. murrrrr?

It's actually everything after and including the "&" symbol that you need to get rid of.

durrrrrrr. i put a ? instead of a &. WOOOOOOOOO. shuddup. i'm butt butt tired. had a bit too much sushi for dinner. my bits are LOGEY.

..... i mean, good catch pimp!

never mind the AC vs DC plug thing. figured that out. now i just gots to figure out why one side of the looper is nada. but that can wait until tomorrow. gonna plug my other looper in place, see if it's the actual looper before i start futzing with cables and whatnots. YAY!

now.... tablet vid games to lull me to sleeps.

Interested to hear if you guys have a favorite heavy sounding overdrive? I dig fuzz and distortion but I'm finding I get good results using an overdrive that's absolutely cranked. The EBS Valvedrive has so much bottom end that it basically kicks the crap out of my amp in this setting. Love it!

I want another great heavy sounding dirt pedal. Not fuzz though - I don't need the wall of sound. Not sure it's distortion or that type of chainsaw tone. I'm just looking for huge deep sounding dirt.

Thoughts? Behemoth II maybe?

I can't say for sure about the Behemoth II but I do want to try one this next year. Excane and DarkBarn have one, PM them.

So; Mecha Shiva's last show = best one we've ever played. A few mistakes aside; our arrangements were satisfactorily tight; Improvs were concise and well contrived.

I'm a bit bummed. I really am going to miss this band. One of the only ones that I've been involved in that evolved and progressed really nicely over a long period of time. Most of the bands that I've been in have been; "here are the songs,...learn the basslines AND GO!!!" Then after a few months; a year at the most the project looses steam or someone moves away.

I'm definitely a better player than I was when I first joined the band.

And if Mecha Shiva ever reconvenes I will be there for sure.

I think we may try to write and record long distance; via the intertubes.

My guitar player formed a Surf Rock band call Kwaaaaaaaaaang!!!

https://www.facebook.com/kwangsurf

Yes they are actually opening up for Green Jello.

They do really nice covers of the Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet's Having an Average Weekend (Kid's in the Hall theme) and Dick Dale's Misirlou.

At any rate I thought about maybe getting on 2nd Guitar with that group after they do their Green Jello show. Who know's; I want a little break from bands, but I don't see it being permanent.

Yeah; they got a Facebook Page and everything.

I wonder if they will have Maynard do guest vocals for the 3 Little Pigs song at the Spokane show (the venue they are playing will probably only hold 100 peeps).
