Your SG collection is rad. I need an SG with humbuggies. And I kinda like that baritone, but I've always been a sucker for white guitars.
fallen wrote:SG talk... I cured my Gibson craving with an Epi Explorer and a '91 SG Special. I added a small pickguard on the SG to cover a big dent the previous owner left in the face of the body. Also covered one of the control holes and made it into a 2 knob layout instead of 3.

The pickguard has screw heads glued into the holes and is held on with double sided tape so no extra holes have been added to the body. I replaced the humbuckers with P90s and it's in A standard. The strat copy is one I rewired around the same time with a new pickguard and single humbucker setup.
That SG  And I love single humbucker strats like that.

The rest of my post that isn't riddled with multiquotes:

Being a dad is still awesome. She digs Sabbath. So I know for sure she is mine :animal:

Got my copy of Whores. new album, noticed that it plays a bit fast on side B. Kind of a bummer, but still a very rad album.

Also got a Walrus Audio Iron Horse. Only had about 20 minutes to play it at really low volume. Sounds more like a fuzz than a distortion to me. The lows are loose, which I normally like but I was hoping for big chugging palm mutes, which it just doesn't do. Is this typical for Rat style pedals, or not really? Either way, I will give it a run at higher volumes later on in the week and see if a bit of volume helps out. Probably will end up flipping it if I don't like it toward a Quantum Mystic or Fuck OD/Mini...

Musicians friend (and probably other places) are blowing out the Ampegs like mine for half price. The 15 watt head is $250 and the combo is $300. Good deals for a clean practice amp if any of youze were in the market for one.

Looks like EQD is making a Zap Machine v2. I am excite.

Yeah in my experience Rats tend to have a looser bottom end when you turn up the gain (old Rat 2 and a Freakshow Brown Rabbit). They sounded best to me at around 2:00 on the dist.

So this is 40... I spent the day at home with a sick kid and learned myself to play Revolve. Lame. Also got a Moog MF Drive in the mail...happy bday to me.

"Next up were Druden, the four-piece black-metal project, also from Portland. I abandoned all hope of trying to get a good photo in complete darkness, so I stood back and observed. While the band was tremendously impressive all-around, I was most taken aback by the talent of the drummer, who not only beat the skins fantastically but also sang half of the vocals in all of the songs. That’s hard in any genre, but in black metal it takes on a whole other force."
