RAGE... Makes me physically angry. After having to run a bunch of config tweaks, and update my drivers (took three releases in 48hours but ATI eventually put out one that worked), finally got the game running smoothly, then id software put out a patch and I had to change all my settings again, and it's running worse than before (due to how the game is fucking designed to stream textures, not because my beast of a PC can't handle it....argh) I think I'm gonna start up a new game of the Witcher II and get back to this game in a few weeks or something.
watching my buddies beasty rig run that game was terrible. pop ins, almost looked like the matrix with the code stream in. the fact that the frame rate is locked at 60 because of consoles doesn't help either, but hey! at least it lives up to it's name.

Beat the shit out of a butterfly and some gargoyles. rang the bell. ran into some lightening shooting drakes, keep running over the same 3 spots over and over again, and am terrified around every corner. I'm going insane, and I believe my liver is diseased.

I'm a bit of an Armored Core fanatic. Sure, the games have their share of mediocre 5-minute missions and sometimes generic environments, but the world/individual characters with their sweet emblems and giant robots/GIGANTIC BOSSES OH MY GOD YES/DODGIN' AND WEAVIN' AT A THOUSAND MILES PER HOUR THROUGH FIELDS OF MISSILES AND LASERS makes up for it.
Plus, there aren't that many games where one of the three endings involves
you indirectly killing millions of people due to exposure
and another
lets you nearly send mankind into extinction
Glorious.
And I kind of want a PS3 now...but not enough to ever buy one. There are a couple games I need to play, the new Earth Defense Force for example...

so i'm balls deep in mass effect 2. kinda disappointed i waited on playing it so long. but i have a spoiler question.... i mean, i've upgraded everything on the ship right before the IFF mission, and here's the question...
i've done all the loyalty missions, except for Jack, because I'd rather fuck Miranda, and Zaeed, because he's a dick. so what happens to the people I don't get loyalty for? i know for everyone to survive you need all the ship upgrades and loyalty, but that's clearly not gonna happen.

no loyalty means the person will die. there are of couple factors that pop up during the final mission that also are life and death, but loyalty is the first. if you don't do her loyalty quest, she will die.

man fuck those guys. i always play as a dark skinndeded sorta anime looking (was going for a Motoko from Ghost In The Shell type look.... but DARK) FemShep, and they nerfed all the lesbian humpin's in Two. fuck they have against GrrL On (maybe not human but still) GrrL?

Anyone having trouble running Rage? Just installed it and it crashes as soon as it starts up.
Tried installing new graphics drivers. As soon as the drivers finished installing my computer crashed.
Verified game cache in steam. Tried starting up again. Game crashed.

Disable triple buffering from your graphics card menu.
Catalyst Control Centre for ATI or the Nvidia Dashboard thing.

Did that. Didn't work.
I just got the game working though. Had to mess around for a while to get new driver sets installed without crashing the computer. Works fine now.
EDIT: Except I feel like everything is really fucking big. Like some sort of resolution bug.
EDIT2: Fixed that. Still some minor issues in game, but nothing big.
