I've had a 2204 planned for about 10 years ;)
I built a 2203 with their iron and it was an absolute beast and the price was so right.

Just ordered a decolonizer and 2-12 cab today! I put Alex through what I would consider a personal hell...2-1/2 weeks of questions and indecisiveness, but he was incredibly gracious with his time and very helpful through the process of helping me figure out what would be an ideal set up. Amazing dude!

Nice! The MKII Decolonizer is a beast. Prob my favorite amp ever out of the 30+ high gain channel switchers I’ve owned.

Do it. Although if I were to do it again I would go a bit different direction. I built a slightly modded 2203 with a bit more bass and gain. Add a bypass cap here and there and bump up some resistor values. I'd prob go full extra preamp tube on a build nowadays.

My Decolonizer MKI is the 100W project set IIRC. That would be a good place to start in regards to this thread.

Something is in the air, I just built a 2204 out of an old Traynor YBA4. It's a monster.

I'm tempted to sell my Mother for one, the clips he's put on Facebook sound incredible.

So Science vets, how's the bottom end on the Street Sweeper? I'm finally getting close to ordering a Science amp and I've been lusting after a Street Sweeper for years for that double-reverb, but I keep thinking that a Mother might be a better all-around amp for me. I've seen the Street Sweeper compared to a Twin Reverb. How accurate would you say that is?

The Mother has a LOT of low end but a Street Sweeper is really a total opposite amp. If a lot of low end is important to you Alex can probably make an adjustment or to to make a Street Sweeper bass heavy. Just depends on how important the reverb is to you.

Just to come at you sideways I vote Hellhawk and it's not even the same amp it used to be.

Thanks for the insight. I figured you'd have good input on this :)
I guess I really just need to chat with Alex about what I'm looking for and see what he suggests. Just hate to bother him.

On paper Hellhawk doesn't really fit my needs but every time I listen to those sound samples on the site I waver. How did you like it with pedals?
