Fucking creepy. Not the good Halloween creepy either.
I saw one of those 'drive safely' adverts earlier this morning. It was horrifying. There was a baby... ahhh.. I don't even want to say. I definitely couldn't do it. People that can are so important so thank you. And do whatever you need to do to keep yourself sane. Making jokes is probably the least insensitive thing to do.

If you're a girl under the age of twelve, and you're high on marijuana... don't ride your bike.
 One of my favorite bits from that show.

Very nice

What do you do for a living? I'm a therapist and I've always been super sarcastic/cynical which has come in handy being able to distance myself from some of the sadder cases I've dealt with.

T-Rey, I work in disability support.
It's burning me out a bit though (which has more to do with management practices in the sector than the job itself, I actually love my work and my clients), so I'm applying to go back to uni next year and become a primary teacher. Fingers crossed I hear back with good news in mid December. What sort of therapy do you do, if you don't mind me asking?

Ax, you need some major love and mojo, bud. Good vibes a sending *insert psychic transmission here*.
And I will follow your advice, cause its badass. I just gotta put the ole povtek back together first.

Also, seeing as the PDX ain't selling, I'm considering putting it back to use, as I didn't mind its sludginess. I didn't gel with it 100%, but I generally don't like rats. I'm starting to think I'm doing something very wrong. Sounded good stacked with the BF (what doesn't?) but has anyone got any good RAT settings? Maybe I gotta dial my amp in different?

Also it's been so long since I played now, I've forgotten what shit sounds like.

You sir, have powerful mojo.

today was pretty kickass. I had a ton of friends old and new get in touch with me about my birthday which was cool as I don't really advertise that. Felt nice to have so many folks think of me. Ryder came down and we worked on recordings and redid our new song "Ashes" which is one we're all pretty pumped about. the new version should sound much tighter and kick much more ass. then we hit up a show with some awesome bands and solo doomy drony acts that was capped off with CFA, probably the most fun guys to see play live ever.
"Stonercore" It's their genre they made up and they rule it with Iron fists and no pants. :thumb:

Rats are kinda an all or nothing thing with me. I'm looking forward to nicks take on the rat as I think his ideas are something that could make it work with how I approach sound. The volume pedal helps with it but still not something I use on the regular.
I do hope it gets a smaller enclosure than the wizard fuzz. That things HUGE. Thank god it made a few other pedals redundant and obsolete for tony or I dont know how he would have fit it on his board. Shit sounds so good teamed with a revelation SB though.

I've been on this planet for 40 fucking years now dudes. that seems nuts when I think about it. I'm gonna keep acting like I'm 20 till I fall over. Seems like the best approach :hello:

happy birthday, dude. it ain't always easy to make it this far. i mean, i'm only 36, so i'm in a different position than you. but i feel like getting older is actually cool and in a lot of ways it's a big accomplishment. a lot of good friends i've had haven't made it this far. not to be morbid, but you know, it's cool that we get to experience the years. good on you for doing it. i don't know why anyone would want to be younger. i was an idiot for so much of my young life and i think it's awesome to be getting smarter and learning more and being a better person. i hope it feels that way for you on your birthday. cheers.

I feel you on the burnout. The last business I worked at was managed poorly, then (stupidly) I took a management position thinking I could make things better. Before management I was providing therapy for adults who were also receiving therapeutic support and case management in the community setting. Quit that job and now I am a mental health therapist in the school system. Pretty rad working with kids, since they are more likely to want to change the negative aspects of their life than adults are.

Happy Birthday Ax

Yeah, it sounds good with the BF, I think I might have to have another fiddle with it.

Yeah, kids would be pretty cool in that regard. I had an inclination to go for something like that a few years ago, but at the time I was really enjoying disabilities so I just stuck around. The whole disability sector down here is just fucking nuts and poorly managed though, and the NDIS/whatever-the-fuck-they're-calling-it-this-week really ain't gonna change much. If anything it will just stir up a shit storm. Before disabilities I was totally green and working as a volunteer in a needle exchange/rehab setting to get my counselling chops up. That was heavy at times, but sometimes I wish I'd have been able to explore it more before jumping over here. You meet some cards.

So it's come to my attention that one of us is selling a plush 1060s in the Seattle area.

asking $300. I'd snag it but I have 3 amps right now that are not getting constant use and am running out of space.
I need a bigger house and a ton more money. If I won the lottery I'd so build the house made from amps in a heartbeat. Essentially the whole thing would look like whiskey's jam room. :yay:
That bag of candy lasted about 30 seconds. My son and I devoured that shit. That amp looks like my grandmother's pleather couch. I wanna take a nap on it.

Heppy Birthday John
