I'd bring my kid to ILF except for the fact that I'm internet paranoid and don't post any pics of him. But he's 16 months old and rad. Pedals are a great way to keep children entertained...

Although he did poke the speaker cone in on my 1x12 cab I've got at home. On the other hand I've been wanting to get a new cab for a while now so ah... thanks son! I feel stupid digging all the pix of kids but not posting my own... sorry!

Beyond that,...I don't think strangers danger is really an issue in here. Unless your a fuzz loving pedophile.
Cute mini-mes you guys.
I asked my wife the other day if she really wanted to be pregnant and she was like FUCK NO. Then proceeded to tell me how it's a constant battle between her consciousness and her biology. The biological urge to procreate but her brain not wanting to put herself through that. I like to use my peen to fool that biology.
I have a feeling we will be parents one day; but it will have to be a different way.
adoption? I don't want to have kids, but I would love to adopt a few at one point.
Yup; adoption, but it's only a thought right now.

Tried out one of the S.U.B. SB4s at *gasp* Guitar Center yesterday. Basically an import EBMM Sterling. While it didn't blow me away; it was probably the best sounding; best playing 4 banger for $250.

Kept me up late last night. But maybe I'd rather save up and get the real deal.
I also saw an old Mesa Boogie Diesel 2x15 for under 3 bills at a pawnshop. I could probably walk out of there with it for 2hundo plus the gov't. I didn't play it and considering that I'm planning on switching to songwriting mode for a while after the band bows out (last show this weekend; gonna be bittersweet); I'm not really sure I "need" another cab. It would be nice to replace the enormously infuriating awkward, too big, slowing disintegrating Kustom 2x15 that I currently use.
Also thinking hard on 2 Avatar SB112s. I figure I can pair one up with the SVT for home use; being able to reasonably crank the SVT without blowing the doors off the house and pissing my neighbors off. Run 2 SB112s for shows and pair the dual 12s with my 410 for louder shows. That begs the question. Can I run an 8ohm load with the SVT set to 4ohms?

Yeah; Drummer; knocked up girlfriend; girlfriend has child from another relationship that she cannot get custody of (she is kind of a go to school and live off the loans and aid; fuck having a job sorta person, whatever I'm not here to judge); child lives in Wisconsin; girlfriend wants to move to Wisconsin so she can at least be part of the already exited the uterus child's life; drummer kinda has to go where his in utero child goes. Sucks but I can't really fuck with that.
FWIW; I do feel bad for Ron. He has a lot of potential and was just starting to get his life into motion,...enrolling in school and shit; but for the moment he has to put his life on hold. He is a good person and I think they will make good parents. Those two do seem like they are quite in love with one another too. I'm pretty confident that they will find a way.
Beyond that it's amicable; no hard feelings, 10/10 would jam again.
For me personally; making noise and jamming is fun and all; but I've been in bands for years on end now; constantly schlepping,...spending time away from my family rehearsing,...blowing my weekends to perform for rooms full of disinterested drunks, or arms crossed judgmental scenester fucks. It's getting old. I don't really care if other people aren't interested but I do embrace a little break to take some time and get patiently creative. I want to get a little home studio made up. Build a DAW; Gets some drums and some mics; soundproof a little corner of the house (or move out to the country) and just write.
I have a hard time finding others that share my vision. I lucked out with the improvisational based stuff with Mecha Shiva; but when we hit songwriting mode,...it was just so painfully slow and awkward I found that it sucked the fun out of being in that project. That feeling of loosing patience with not being productive. Worrying about wasting peoples time; and what we have to show for is not really anything that I find especially interesting or ground breaking. It had potential,...but as with all bands that I've ever been involved with in Spokane; someone in the band can't take this place anymore and moves away.

Sorry man.
I can relate to a lot of that. Not sure if our band is going to be around much longer. We are going to be on a compilation album, that is either how we cap it off or it starts us going again.
I don't want the band to end, maybe we carry on with a member change or I do my own thing like you are saying. I have pieces of a solo project that I could put back together.

It's no big deal.
My wife really can't handle being alone so me being away rehearsing is tough on her. I can't even imagine leaving to go on tour if I ever get into a band that takes it that seriously. And I have those opportunities available to me.
I'm finding that for me to be satisfied with anything creatively; I pretty much have to come up with all the parts all on my own. I'm constantly searching for a drummer that has a nice light and sensitive touch, but isn't just purely a jazz based drummer...sort of a Jojo Meyer or Billy Martin, but with some rock and roll and some D'n'B leanings...and while I come across drummers who like those guys,...they just can't execute; usually as a result of not being geared up to do so and not putting for the effort to gear up. So the only solution I can see is learning how to play AND sound like that myself and tracking drums on my own.
Same with guitarists. There are some good ones out here,...but for guitar; my vision is a lot of repetition, layering of melodies; slowly arpeggiated and fingerpicked chords; clean toans; and the guitarists around here are either blues guys or shredders. So do I find a guitarist that I have to explain this too all the time and they never listen; or do I just do it myself.
Basically I'm heavily influenced by Lake Trout as an ensemble and no one else is seemingly interested in this sorta thing.

try searching for drummers that take Benny Greb as an authority too. every drummer I know of that watched his DVD (and is a curious musician type of person) really kicked ass! heck, I've adopted some exercises for bass, vocals and keys too. really awesome stuff.

Whoa! I'd never hearda them before! Very cool. I dig.
Sadly, I hear ya on the difficulty in finding bandmates. If my music collaborator ever moves away, I'm relatively screwed. Although the music scene around here is pretty diverse - I could probably find someone to jam with, but it would be a whole different setup / relationship.

Scientists need to hurry up and figure out cloning already, that'd solve everything.
