What's with thar DL-8 switch?

It was a pain for me to press the whole metal footswitch down to loop, especially since you have to hold the switch down the entire time you record, so I drilled a hole and added the soft touch switch for better accuracy and easier use! It's super simple to do as well

that is such a good idea
I know I have probably said this before but If I had known you could do that I might have kept my DL8

hahaha. One of the few fuzzless setups I've done recently. Not even a drive to be had!! It was really mellow sleep zoning loop stuff. I recorded it with my wife in mind

And really all you've got to do for the mod is connect two wires to the pads on the tiny soft switch inside that activate the pedal and connect them to the new switch. I've been meaning to make a solid piece of something to keep the large metal switch from pressing down at all as to not put pressure on the new switch, but it gets the job done just fine. I'm a pretty large fan of the modulated and tape verbs on the DL8, and the looper gets me by enough to not have to lift my dd7 off my other board 24/7

oh ok
that's what I did with this bad boy

it came to me with no foot switch at all
now it's pretty
\
for some reason I assumed you couldn't do that with a DL8 because it is true bypass

Seems reasonable. The paddle depressers on the Hardwires are not my favourite, shame cause the rest of the design thought is great.

I wasn't sure if you were somehow using it in conjunction with the main footswitch to control something else.

Nah. Although it would be cool to find a mod for it, but putting the footswitch in there really limits how far the original paddle can travel.

And I thought so too Hbomb, but I'm thinking the DL8 and Deville's clickless true bypass with a momentary switch have more in common than I thought before. Both of them are just momentary switches, and a chip does the true bypassing somehow, I think

Relays. Used in the Dr.Scientist pedals, still true bypass but doesn't rely on 3PDTs.

It's a long time since I last posted my board. Not much has changed, and this is very much in progress at the moment. I had to brake the pedal order and re-arrange stuff for more efficient noise/ pedalcore use when I wasn't playing the bass.

The signal goes, at the moment:

Bass. Or no instrument at all. :D >>

Hughes & Kettner Quantum 600 amp

The top row not mentioned yet:
Fuzzhugger Vice Grip (the new Hugger) and in the boost loop > vintage Ibanez Standard fuzz > Boss RC-50 looper. They have come first are all out of chain, but they're again seeking their slot in the most useful pedal order. Especially the damn looper that can't take the crazy fuzzes in nor can it be in front of many pedals. I should try it in the separate amp fx chain loop, after all the pedals.

Missing from the picture: McSpunckle Euro tourbox pedals, Fuzzhugger Algal Bloom and AB-Synth and DOD Gonkulator. And smaller cables and more power. And there's a few more pedals to come at some point in not too distant future.

Obviously, I'm also missing :erm:  better cables with smaller, angled plugs, and more power. And a little more pedalboard room. Perhaps a second board at some point :idk:
