You ever check out those Effector Handbooks, Eivind? Always on the fence about picking one up just to check out.

That guys seems like he would find you at a bar, make you drink 30 shots of Jager "on his tab", then run like crazy when they don't take the Canadian Dollar.
Spanking Purplins? Does that qualify for Chankgeez's puple nurple thread?
Thanks Eivind...finding that site fascinating...

Meet Maude or Echo Dream 2? Plz dont say apples to oranges.
Im aware of the feature differences, but youtube videos cant show actual sound qualities.
If anyone has any experience with both, which did you find to have the best tone??

sound wise one of the major differences is Maude is lot darker....just too my other variables to weigh to say one is better than the other though.

Maude sounds better to my ear, and is a deep pedal. I liked the echo dream quite a bit as well but I found it a bit trebal heavy.

How much fuzz do you use? I haven't used the Echo Dream 2 but the Meet Maude can get a little lost in the mix sometimes but sounds amazing without tons of gain in front of it. I think echo dream might be more able to be heard after fuzz.
But the Meet Maude sounds amazing on it's own. The mod is simple and is pretty dynamic. It self oscillates pretty easy too. It's just got this really nice sound to it. But I have read on here that it can have trouble cutting in a live mix.
Resin uses the echo dream...so hope he chimes in. Oh and UG!

Do you play in a band? I remember skull_servant saying that his Maude got completely lost in the mix in a live scenario.

Do we know if that was when Skully was doing solo noise-y stuff, but it could have been band stuff, too.

I will ask this question here as well, speaking of analog delays:
Does any other delay pedal do the thing the Endangered Audio AD4096 does where it can put out a wet signal to an aux/second output, even when bypassed? It's been a couple years since I owned one of these, but I recall that being a neat feature, which I might want to use in my current band. However, I'm not certain I want to shell out $300+ again for one of these (I know they are cheaper used, but they are pretty scarce nowadays).
I know there might be other ways to accomplish this, but any that I can think of require more gear than just one pedal, and I would like to achieve it with minimal additional gear.

Moog MF104z with the exp controlling the Mix maybe? Doesn't solve the expensive problem though.

Haha, certainly not. What's appealing about the EA is that it can be used in my regular signal chain as well as having the Aux out to a second amp or the PA for an ethereal haze between songs with a volume pedal (this is strictly for live performance since the singer of my band doesn't want to talk between songs). I may just pre-record something on my Ditto X2 and fade it in/out as needed. That's a cheap solution. Maybe I was just looking for an excuse to rebuy the AD4096.

The 104z just has a wet and mix out was thinking you could rock between regular mix and full wet.
Why not just a stereo delay with a kill switch on one output or something (or a loop to bypass one side of stuff like the right and let the left go on delay)? Or the Stereo Memory Man (big box one at least) has that direct out which could be used in a similar way. But I think you are still getting back into the same price range...so the AD4096 is probably the best choice haha.
Still want one of those myself.

Thank you all!!
I never use delay for full band, only for solo stuff, so im not too worried about that application.
Can the maude get bright with the eq or does it stay pretty dark throughout?
Does anyone feel restricted by not being able to totally control the depth/speed of the maude's modulation?
Why does everyone sell the maude for $300 when its $270 directly from fairfield?

I thought it got bright enough. I never felt limited by the modulation because it's supposed to be random. I wanted that random feel. And I don't know about the price.

Yeah I thought about the stereo delay option, but the AD4096 puts out a pretty constant hazy sound as I recall when the pedal is bypassed, as opposed to trying to find the right delay sound that hangs at the edge of oscillation from like an AD-9 or something with wet/dry outs. Come to think of it, I think the Keeley AD-9 was good for that, even with repeats maxed it never went into super crazy oscillation, and the original footswitch could be used for max repeat swells. Hmmm...

Maude stays dark, it's a part of its fundamental sound. It's very colored.
The Maude's modulation is quite useful considering the lack of control, if you want a lot of comtrol over modulation the echo dream 2 would be the go to.
