I'll have to sit down with it again tomorrow and get it back to the settings I had it on. I believe bass boost was all the way down, mids on the center position, bass all the way up, mids at 10:30, highs dimed. High gain. middle clipping switch. Gain around 11 o clock. Volume to taste. blend around 11 o clock

skullservant I love that board - simple yet complete!

And yes the elements can get muffy with the right tweaks of the knob. When the elements saturates the muff signal what results is a very full, well-rounded tone. I have been using the elements as a pre fuzz booster and it adds so much body, fullness, and extra heavies to the fuzz. But it also works extremely well by itself as mean overdrive or low-gain distortion. And of course it can bring on the heaviezzzzzz. It is a pedal that grows and grows on you once you realize FOR YOURSELF (through tweaking-knob experimentations) how versatile it can be for your sound. I personally think everyone should get one because of the vast array of toaaaaanzzz this box produces from light bluesy crunch to thrashy distorted sounds to searing death metal.

Thanks dude! I totally agree. At first all I had tried was high gain stuff, and I've just realized I'm not really meant for distortions as much as I am boosted Big Muffs that sound like distortions. The Elements boosting the Muff is great. I want to sit down with it and really hone in on the tone I want from the Elements, but right now it's cutting enough of the whool around the Muff to actually get some articulate black metal going

I did the same exact thing when I first got it which was dime the gain and try out all the heeeaavvvviieeess which is cool for some of the stuff I am playing but I realized that just distortion can be boring to my ears so I tried boosting fuzzes and turning down the gain on the elements using it as a an EQ/ dirty boost pedal. I also got some gnarly black metal tones with a super-fuzzesque pedal with only treble and a shit ton of fuzz AFTER a mid and trebley elements with the gain at around noon instead of dimed (which can be cool as well ;) ). Of course the reverb was first in the signal chain for extra washiness and ambiance. But the elements kept the notes articulate without it being a complete and total wash of fuzz. Have fun experimenting!!! I continually uncover knew uses for this beast.

I keep the blend less than half so a lot of the RRR can shine through. I'm still working with the RRR as well, but I think I settled on one of the plate settings with long decay

Man that looks nice. I need to try some dirt before my muff. I think the green muff might end up kicking the TAFM off my board. It just sounds so good going into the Fuck.

All of the settings on the RRR are amazing. Lately with bass I've been using H1 on the long decay and mix about 11-o'clock.

Thanks duder. Its been a lot of fun. And dirt before the Big Muff is like unlocking a key to a third dimension. It just makes it ROAR like holy shit. And P1 is apparently what I got hooked on last night. I think that's the brighter plate. I have yet to send either of my basses through this chain yet but I plan on it tonight

The Elements has me very interested with all of its EQ controls, but I'm scared that if I get one it might be too overwhelming, or I wouldn't be using it to it's full potential unless I get like 5 separate pedals... I just kind of hate having a pedal with SO man good sounds and I'm only really using one.

Anyone have insight on this?

It's just versatile. You can really honestly get pretty much any tone from fuzz, to distortion, to drive, to even boost. You can really take it to a gig with a cheat sheet and use it as your only pedal if you wanted to

Very true! Don't be overwhelmed!!!! it is fun finding new sounds! But certainly bring a cheat sheet because there is a lot to remember but once you discover what each knob and switch does to the sound you can be calm and confident that you will rock the world away.

Skully, try The Elements after the Monarch as an EQ... so much tonal possibilities (thats what I'm doing with the 4Eyes).

And... you shouldn't go to Walmart. :p
