Yep, I am using 2SC828 transistors like the original pedal. I cannot recall off the top of my head exactly what but the difference is in the tone section. I have a few vids of the first ones I made. I think one of these has a little angel chorus going along with it too.
Cheers

Thanks for asking about the box. I have two of the polished etched ones here that are smokers. I made these for Joe's pedals and I think he is going to ask for 179GPB. If you really want one I will give you one for 150 euro shipped & I guarantee everything no questions asked. Because you asked this is the only time I will offer these at this price as the rest will go to Joe.
Cheers!

Yes it's a kit and therefore lower art, but i still like building these suckers.
BYOC Fuzz Face. Third Knob is bias. It's really hard to get a bad sound out of this pedal, to be honest. Least in my opinion.

That thing is insane, John! I'm assuming you put in your own favorite tone control on the Double Beat? I just built one of those but put ic pins next to the different tone selections to see which ones I liked. Only liked one of them so I left that one in and now it just switches with bmpish tone control and it seems to be much better. It's quite an amazing fuzz!

I actually just picked a cap for the output and put in a variable
input cap blend knob. A flat mids BMP tone setup would be good, I agree.
As you can see by the empty holes in the fuzz section of the board,
I cut out all the tone selection caps etc. of the original.

I'd like one of those to be in my Future, Man!

Could be adhered with something like JB Weld.
