Ok, but I'm crossing these two weissbiers off the beer menu: Erdinger, fuck, you are boring. It's not that you're an awful beer, you are just so average it is painful to contemplate. When you're a beer, in a category of beers that are usually interesting and provoke a sensory reaction that is usually pleasurable and interesting to deconstruct from a flavour point of view, average is just so very disappointing.

This is precisely why I can't stand a lot of popular movies. The only movie I can't think of that came out recently that goes this route was The Conjuring, and even that felt rushy towards the end.

I just had a horrible conversation. My colleagues and I were out at the brewery and one of their roommates I hadn't seen since last fall starts talking to me. He was trying to give me a pep talk about how I should keep my eye on the prize and do better to get my phd.

He said my biggest problem was a lack of confidence. Which isn't far off really, but fuck me man, having someone so accurately relate my flaws to me has never made me want to drink myself to death more. I mean, all he intended to do was encourage me, but what he really did was make me feel worse about myself than I have since that day I posted that horrible stuff in the "Hate, Spite, Rage" thread.

The one nice thing I have in my life right now is this lady I'm seeing who's a music performance master's student. She's sweet and lovely and I feel like I could tell her anything. Even though she's very physically beautiful, but she's easily the most attractive woman I've met. I just hope I don't mess things up with her by being too starry-eyed when I see her.
