SO, I am going to ramble for a minute, any thoughts/comments/etc would be appreciated.
I bought my Dingwall after selling some basses, this was my most important/keeper buy recently.
I knew I was going to buy a few pedals and be able to keep them too.
Well, it is time to figure out who stays and who goes. A few things to keep in mind. This is probably the last time that I get to purchase pedals in chunks for awhile, probably can buy back a pedal or two in January then I will have to save for anything from my sidework that I do 2-3 times a month. I am trying to recoup at least $1600.
The pedals are; PitchFactor, ModFactor, Xero DLX, Frantabit, Mothership, Boss Slicer, Markbass super synth, Moog FreqBox, Moog LowPass FIlter, Moog MP-201, Iron Ether QF2, Boss OC-2 (japanese), Behringer BSY-600, MXR M108 (10 band eq), Moog EP-2, I also have a Cioks Pussy Power on the way and I have 2 tire pedalboard (LYT brand)

I already have listed the Mothership, Boss Slicer and Frantabit. Mothership is cool and analog but I can cover those tones, I can cover the slicer and I just got the Frantabit so it isn't crucial yet even though I really like bit crushing.
If I sold the Moog Stuff, the stuff I already listed, and say the Pussy Power, I estimate that after paypal fees, shipping, etc that I should be getting close to $1700, cool. I keep a lot of the pedals and really have a ton of sounds available, the MBSS sounds dope through the pitchfactor, Xero DLX, and Modfactor. The downside is I let the Moog, especially the MP-201, it is discontinued and pretty expensive & rare slip through my hands, IDK when I will find one that is affordable again. None of the pedals I am keeping are irreplacable if I go this route.
If I keep the Moog stuff, I think I have to sell most of the pedals (not the OC2 or QF2) so I can buy another Moogerfooger so I can get some more modulation going and get the amount of money that I need. I originally told myself that I wanted to put together a bunch of moogerfoogers eventually after I sold the first set of Moogerfoogers that I had (a MP-201 was part of that). But, I would be without the Factor pedals for awhile, and they both do SO much, to synth sounds and with more "normal" sounds.
This is basically my 2 options that I see.
Any thoughts?

Random, half-caffeinated musings...

- what's the absolute minimum needed to get the job done?
- if the Moogs are that rare, keep them...you have them now and, as you said, may not get another chance at them later on. Flip whatever is most likely to be readily available later on
- if I could afford the QF2 right now, I'd be all over it
- would replacing some of the individual modulations with a Line 6 M-somethingsomething be an option? I've been really happy with my M5, but then again my modulation needs aren't all that difficult...

Well, the Moog Pedal, the MP-201 is fairly rare, discontinued, and generally way more expensive than I got it for. The rest can be found, I also got the MF-101 (lowpass filter) at a great price, well I bought them together.
I use the ModFactor for most of my modulation( I use chorus, flange, phaser, trem, ring mod and some leslie stuff on it mostly), but the Pitchfactor can do a nice chorus (like the IE polytope kind of), some cool delay, as well as the pitch and arpegiator stuff.
Thanks Mudd! I am feeling a bit closer to a solution.

Thank goodness this is the worse of my problems :!!!:

I like Mudd's idea. Bare minimum for now, then you can have more time to compete and give a nero thumb down to others, later.

He then summed up my other thought by saying (basically) "look at what you have and see if a cheaper pedal can do that for you".

I'm in the same boat on that with delay, right now. Looking at the Timeline or Timefactor.....but I KNOW I don't use delay enough to put that much money into it.....but those guys are SO much better than the rest.....kinda torn on those two and the EAR delay guy.

DON'T LET HER SEE YOUR OPEN LAPTOP!!!!!!

AND COME UP WITH A REALLY GOOD EXCUSE FOR WHY YOU'RE ALWAYS CLOSING YOUR LAPTOP WHEN SHE WALKS IN THE ROOM!!!!

"Honest, honey - it's not porn. It's fuzz pedals!"

Funny you mention this.

Two nights ago I was perusing my ILF and wifey walks in and says "POST BOOBS?!?!"

I was all like, "No baby, it's pedal stuff...no boobs."

She totally didn't believe me. Six years of marriage completely avoiding ANY trouble with pron and such and I get in trouble because of an ILF thread title....and salt to the open wound....it was the page where we were all getting deep and talking about babies and childhood and our upbringing and stuff. :erm:

Guys, I need advice. Or, assurance. Or something.

So, I graduate in 4 weeks, and I'm scared shitless. I've been in college for 6 years now, and while I've always worked through college, I'm finally about to not have that comfort of going to class, I guess. i dunno, I've just got this overall sense of uneasiness, even though I already have a job, already been getting salary, everything. I have no reason to be all nervous like this, but I dunno. I just wanna crawl up and ignore everything. What the fuck is wrong with me?

It's natural. Your life is going to change in many ways. It is totally OK to feel scared like you do, as long as you don't do anything stupid because you're scared. Change is always scary and there is no use in ignoring that fact. Maybe it will make you feel better to analyze your fears and dissect them. Usually a big scary mountain like that is just a combination of smaller, easier to face fears.
Other than that the only advice I have to offer is to man up and pull this through. The result if you just power through will be a lot better than what you get if you crawl up and ignore. You know that is not really an option so you might as well clench your fist and go for it.
