Even the old stuff wasn't "wow, my entire outlook on playing guitar has changed" with the exception of like, the 16SDD or HOG.
I mean, I'm not saying they're stuff is bad, just fairly typical pedal stuff that can and has been exceeded (especially quality-wise) by other companies and certainly as technology has progressed.
But, yeah, I was mostly referring to their work once the XO era started (I tend to generalize when I talk about anything, so
). I get that big box EHX was practically uncontested outside of rack effects, but even then there were companies that, imo, seriously rivaled their work like Mu-Tron or Boss/Roland. But that's all tastes, too.
