I like the band board MEC, that fucking rules. I've been approaching my set up in a similar manner...Here's what I've been using to write for a new a project. Doomy Industrial Post-Black Metal is kinda what it ends up sounding like. I may end up adding a green muff and or a basic audio scarab (when they come in the mai)l to the board and placing some dirt after the reverb for the lulz.

How is the dirt after verb treating you?

It sounds AWESOME, but I want to have both options open on the board...The dirty verb sound is good for the ultra noisy freak outs/shitty fucked up guitar solos, but for the most part i just like dirt>verb for riffing. I'm thinking a fuzz after the reverb set to treble earbleed death will be what I need.

That is exactly why I am getting another reverb to have the option of post dirt always on verb for subtle depth and one for a wash of noisy fuzz. But yes placing an ear piercing trebly fuzzy after a dripping wet verb is instant kvlt toaaanz. I'm glad you are digging the moist fuzz of filth.

I use single channel amps with the volume set close to break up and then smash
the preamp with volume from the pedals. I keep most of the pedals set with
low gain and high volume.
