Isn't it required high-school reading?

Boght a Digitech XP-300 SPace STation off of ebay 2 weeks ago. I have always REALLY wanted one but thought they were way too much. Well I pulled the trigger and what do I get?

NOTHING

Never got updated as shipped, never received it. Had to open an ebay claim, luckily I will getmy money back in a week or so, but I really fucking wanted that Space Station.

Also what's wrong with 1984? Is it just uncool to think stuff like that could happen?

"Button up- Tighten the tie and laces-Drone out-Question nothing-Quit complaining-Your being taken care of so shut up."

Not my thing

Yeah it's a 4S.

I'm actually not angry about it anymore. Somehow all my contacts came back after I went on Facebook? I don't understand but it's cool that they're back. I didn't back anything up because I don't own a computer

But it's ok because now I have my contacts and a bunch of free memory to play with!

That sucks about the Space Station. Those things look fun.

Nothing's wrong with 1984 per se. It's an interesting social commentary, but the complaint was with the fan base. I'm gonna assume that DoS' dumb motherfuckers are the pretentious asshats who quote it.

Pssshht, y'all are crazy. Fahrenheit 451 is where it's at.

Of course political science fiction should always be taken as a metaphor, not prophecy.

Right, the allusions to it in political discourse are almost entirely reductionist in nature.

Which has a lot to do with the fact that A)most English-speaking people have at least a passing knowledge of the Cliff's Notes of the book re: formal education, and B)so much of it has been assimilated into cultural touchstones and memes that its an easy way to call attention to a [most likely] superficial connection between the story and whatever real world shit is going down.

TL;DR I'm at war with Eurasia, Oceania, and Eastasia.

They do. You have to have a positive spin on it, every storm passes. That is what I have to remind my self when I get to those moments.

Had a long conversation with the wife this morning about futures. I always get a little nerved when we have these long discussions about our life down the road. Especially as she wan't to save, pay off the car and our house and get a new job when the one she has now is all but perfect. Right after we buy a brand new 4,000 dollar bed. ( It's going to be SO worth it) I love her but she drives me a little nuts some times.

Listening to Sleep is helping a little. I need to get my ass off the fucking computer and go play some music.

And about "accomplishment" The one thing I have learned is that no matter how hard you work or how rich you are, accomplishment is in the eye of the beholder. My best friend from high school has this problem and I had the same one when I was depressed in my mid 20's. Struggle is a part of being alive so you can either embrace it or let it defeat you. In the last couple of months or so I have been more excited about playing music then I have in a LONG time. Why? I have been here for 3 years right along with you guys, did anything change? It was something that David Gorll said ......"Fuck Guilt, what about just pleasure?"

The more I thought about it the more it made sense, so what if I am lousy? If I just simply enjoy playing music on the merit that it makes me happy I can use that as an advantage. I made that into a goal and it has help a lot.

TL;DR The simplest solutions are often the best ones. Look back to what you love and find worth your time here on earth and embrace the fuck out it. Sometimes its just what the doctor has ordered.
