^ sounds like typical Steam, yup. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling?
Also, I am so weak. Some buddies were talking about it, and now I'm playing WoW again. Maybe this time I can keep it from becoming a second full time job. At my worst, I was playing something close to 60hrs a week. Right now, it's like hanging out with an old friend, because I can tell that times have changed, but there's enough to remind me that I still know what I'm doing.

Anyone played Mass Effect 2? A friend gave me a copy a few days ago...it's installed it but I haven't started it yet.

I didn't get to finish it before reformatting but it's good. I like it more than the first. It has some good side distractions too if you're the kind of person who likes getting 100% in games.

I wasn't a huge ME1 fan but ME2 was awesome!
Lately been playing Cthulhu Saves the World, pretty fun and funny.
FIFA 12 comes out tomorrow and this week will be my busiest yet at school

Am I alone in hating mass effect 2?
The first had it's gameplay issues but I really enjoyed the story and the question branching.
The 2nd was just a sci-fi Gears of War with a really shitty set up plot for Mass Effect 3.
The entire game was a typical "collect your allies" side mission, and then it just ends without any real substance.
I was all pumped up to save the universe once my team was fully assembled and then the credits started rolling.
New x-men is in the mail.

That kinda bugged the hell out of me too. I think I enjoyed because the combat was a lot less jaring in comparison to the first game. Enjoyed it for the most part though, replaying the game with different classes is great fun too.

Well as you all know, with me being a minimum of 2 years behind the current gaming trends, I am now rocking some Mass Effect (since I just finished Red Dead Redemption

). I'm picking up where I started when I first bought the game a while back... which is pretty much at the beginning. I got a bit frustrated trying to do all the side quests the first time you reach the Citadel in the beginning. I kept getting lost, and the maps in the game suuuck! But I got back
on the horse(wait, not playing Red Dead) in the Normandy, and started cruzin the Milkiest of Ways. Needless to say, I'm enjoying the game quite a bit. Kinda wished I created a soldier class, but the infiltrator is not bad. Looking forward to finishing this game so I can start the prequel to ME3, and then onto ME3. With as much time as I put into these RPGs it'll be next year before I'm ready for ME3. By then I won't have to pay top dollar to buy it. Success!

fucking 360 finally fucking shit all over it self for good i think. it'll either,
a) crash in the splash screen for a game i load,
b) start playing the game and all audio will drop out or
c) play fine until i get past a ridiculously hard part and then crash.
fucking. AWESOME. it IS a first gen that red ringed once before..... but still. pisses me off they knowingly shipped faulty systems out to beat the PS3 to market. and it worked. so..... good for them?
on my way in a few to Best Buy to pick up a new slim one. i actually DO want the HDMI out that i don't have on my current 360...... gonna send in the one i have now to be repaired and then look for somebody that wants an old version one i guess.
the price points are $200 for a 4gb Slim 360, THREE FUCKING HUNDRED FOR A 250 GIG SLIM 360. asssssssssss. HOLES. charging $100 more for a 1/4 tb extra space. i just bought a 1 tb desktop hdd for $60. neat thing is you can dismantle the old slide in drive case, remove the hdd, void the warranty on the drive, install it in the new 360 and save a hundred bucks. i have like a 20 gb drive i think? after 5 years there's still 4 gigs free on it. so...... i'm not worried about having such a small drive.
ASSHOLES.
