But I do have to say, up until a few months ago when I got a Glock Blue Soul to team up with my fEARful 15/6/1 and CKSs, nothing much played on my B string was....articulate.....but with this combo, every not, even if I tune down to A, is just as tight as stuff on my D string. It's funny, most of the people tuning down low low low don't even have amps that can reproduce that frequency.

Damn. I should have named each kid after those strings.......now I have to figure out how to get my strings in a CORTM tuning......

funny...a .110-.120 is what i prefer for the low E string in standard tuning because i find that lighter ones are too floppy for my Big Note, Tim Drummond derived style or the John Kahn more-notes-than-actually-exist when working up from an open E to a G on the first fret, where i insert one or two passing notes/quarter-tones on the fretless into the four note sequence of open E-to -fretted G.
